Meta What If?

While of course not all "on the spectrum" are "bronies", aren't all "bronies" on it?

Not sounding judgemental here, that's just the impression I got from the early '10s.

 

I don't think someone has to actually be on the spectrum to be a massive sperg online, but I digress.

Speaking of which, I always felt like Chris's conduct online and IRL was more of a product of bad parenting and growing up in a bad environment that coddled him and spoiled him, and never gave him true help. Not to say that his no doubt more severe than he's admitted to autism didn't play a role, but I always felt like Bob and Barb's pigheaded refusal to get him proper professional help and take him to therapy growing up, and how their approach to it and understanding of it was stuck in the 1950s when people didn't even really know what it was yet, was the catalyst that led to Chris becoming the way he did in his 20s by the time people learned about his buffoonery.

 

I think Chris had a combo of real autism and parents who just didn’t know how to deal with a special needs child.

 

What if Chris had moved out of home sometime during the classic era between 2008-2010 into an unassuming apartment in Charlottesville or Richmond, like sometime between 2008-2010? But was otherwise the exact same wild and wacky manchild we came to know?

How do you guys think this would have affected the outcome of classic era shenanigans? Would Chris go even crazier from having more privacy? Would he have gotten noise complaints from yelling at trolls and other perceived enemies over the phone, Skype, and mumble? Would there have eventually been an "Eviction Saga"? Surprisingly interesting hypothetical.

Be careful. You say things like that now, and you're going to jinx it man. Then by October we'll hear that Chris attempted to rob a bank somewhere in suburban Virginia with a Megatron pistol and bear spray, and subdued the bank security guards by body slamming them, before using his plastic replica Luger to pelt the manager with BBs, tormenting him to get the combination to open the vault. Chris would be ecstatic and declare victory when he walks into the bank vault and loads up a backpack with hundreds of thousands of bucks.

Then it all falls apart when Chris realizes that he forgot to get a car and hire a getaway driver. Flutter was at home eating lunch from Chick-fil-A and she can't drive to begin with, and it's not like Magichan was going to show up in an unrealistically fast DeLorean either, and the Jerkops move in and arrest Chris in the anticlimactic ending to this autistic Reservoir Dogs tale.

What if Chris Chan was a character in an Elder Scrolls game?

 

I actually remember asking that question back when Skyrim came out way back when. Someone said he would not to any quests and just say "I'm workin on it!" and get upset when the Redguard in the pickle suit tricks him again. At least that is some of the responses people say.

 

Chris would probably shit himself during the execution scene at the beginning of Skyrim.

 

And do nothing?

 

Chris would get mad that the girl in Rivendell is not girlfriend-free.

 

If Chris was the player, suddenly NPCs make weird faces and fan the air when you approach them, making comments about how you stink, and now you can't do anything the normal way you're used to because all your dialogue options are replaced with Chris styled dialogue.
