So let's get this straight (or as straight as it can be, which is not at all):

Real Chris believes here that there are two separate versions of himself. Real Chris who can turn into CCSonichu (as shown in his cosplay video from 2011) and Comic Chris who can also transform into CCSonichu. However, Chris has stated many times that Real Chris and Comic Chris are one and the same. Schrodinger's Mary Sue.

Also both versions of Chris are in love and have a sexual interest in eachother. So we have a fictionalized version of a real person who is in a sexual relationship with said real person and Chris thinks its completely real.

No Idea Guy or Sweetheart could craft something as utterly byzantine and incomprehensible as that. I would say this is probably the farthest from reality he's gotten (although I may be forgetting things). It's amazing.

 

I once tried explaining the Chris Chan legend to a normie, but stopped when I realized I looked like that Always Sunny meme.

 

My go-to explanation to normies is this: imagine if The Truman Show were written by Louis C.K. and directed by David Lynch.

I just tell them "it's hard to summarize" and use the analogy of a train crash happening in slow motion to explain why I watch him

 

Or you could save the embarrassment and not tell anyone about Chris.

 

This. There would be so many things that you'd have to avoid much less the idea that most people would find it unsavory to laugh at a person of questionable sanity (Terry A Davis joke in my handle/avatar aside). Could you imagine having to explain Shecameforcwc.jpg or recycling to someone who's well-adjusted? Didn't think so.

 

I dunno. My friend, who doesn't follow Chris, is usually amused by the stories I tell her about OPL.

 

There are times where being uninformed about Chris is better than being a forum nerd. The lack of proper context makes his antics a lot more funnier.

If you knew your audience it wouldent be too hard. I brought up Chris to one of my close friends and he thought it was hilarious. But I couldent imagine bringing up Chris to one of my co-workers
