How Chris literally thinks.

(Btw for those who don't know, Riley is a straight man who refuses to go through with gender reassignment surgery. He's just a guy who likes to dress like a woman.)

Here's the problem,
This manlady is making the argument that poor people deserve some luxuries once in a while. This is fine, you could save up for a phone or a nice dinner once in a while, this is called enjoying things and it's fine.
What doesn't work for Chris is the idea that these luxuries come with sacrifice. That avacado toast is nice, sometimes. That phone is OK because you only buy one every few years. You want to spend your post-bills money on make-up, sure. But you gotta sacrifice, you can only buy one of the five new nail polish colors so you can make rent, or buy the older model of that phone. Instead of the new Switch, get some used Wii U games you haven't played, or in Chris's case, play the plethora of games you already have before buying new ones.

Chris can't sacrifice, Chris MUST have all the new Transformers, all the new Lego sets, all the MLP shit s/he wants, all the video games, and those God awful trendy "boxes" filled with Japanese/foreign snacks (because finding a store that sells them takes time.) Chris seems to lack the ability to say, "Well, I have the money for one transformer, I'll have to wait for the rest." And I haven't even covered the games and toys that could be sold, but we all know at this point that's never gonna happen.

 

Chris is lucky in that he has a house and a car. He could be buying big things of chicken and freezing them when they're on sale, cooking all their meals, making their own bread. A lot of these things are tips people suggest to poor people to do but it's hard to do without a car, big fridge or time. Chris and Barb have all of these things so they have no excuse.

 

From my experience, it's actually easier to buy bread than make it. Also, it can be pretty expensive to cook meals all the time, depending on the meal. The poor people I've met usually mean that they cook KD for every meal, rather than a meal of beans, chicken and milk or something because they don't have the money to buy $60 worth of groceries, but do have enough to pay for a $20 bulk box of KD that'll last two weeks and a 12-pack of soda.

A meal of discounted steak, potatoes and a glass of water is cheaper than a regular fast food meal, but it is not cheaper than one of those extremely cheap McDoubles with small fries and a cup of water.

 

Love that you can hear the last syllable of Chris saying "ACTION" right at the beginning. Fuck em both. May Barb die soon and be buried in her own hoard to rot.

Yep, which is why I've always loved Chris' begging videos, and generally every time he starts begging. The irony of seeing him use an expensive PS4 to livestream himself begging for money while using a new and expensive laptop to make sonichu photoshops, and seeing his mother beg for money in a video wearing not one but TWO necklaces worth hundreds of dollars is hilarious and makes me feel no guilt in saying no and that I hope Barb dies soon. Watch him immediately start filming when he discovers her dead one day to start frantically begging for money in front of her corpse.

 

Much money and free china. 2 subjects Chris is desperate for, but will likely never have.

 

So Chris can do a few things if he needs money -

Quit buying crap they don't need (LOL, yeah right, retail therapy is the only bright spot in their lives)
Get a job (LOL, too lazy)
Sell stuff that people actually want (possible, but they'll charge outrageous prices, although some nitwit might buy if it's funny enough)

So I guess it's a good thing Chris has no self-respect or dignity left that he's willing to panhandle with a computer a few times a month.

Chris reminds me of those kinds of people who are so addicted to there things, that the moment they get money they spend,spend,spend on it. Doesn't matter to them if they need food or water or rent, they just want to get what they want first, care about the others later. Chris's spending has never changed, but with Bob out of the picture and him being the "man" of the house, it certainly has had some dire consequences. I just hope he doesn't get kicked out or starve to death.

 

Just despicable Chris... What a shameless hack he is for using the decrepitness of his mother to try and solicit money from people. I really want this guy destitute now...

I like to think that its her soul slowly leaving her dying body in a sad way. Would also explain why she pauses after each couple of words
