Newer Phantasy Star online-y games are the actiony-RPG kind too.

 

Apex Legends is complete shit and at this point I don't want to see Titanfall 3 ever come out.

 

At least the graphics of SM64 look better than those of SNES Star Fox.

I'm not too much of a fan of 8-bit game graphics. 16-bit was the better 2D overall.

 

Dunno if this is an unpopular opinion but I feel like bitching about a devs political beliefs and how it could hurt the development of a game in how it will be is dumb. I say this in reference to any tard that thinks a dangerhair working on some big name game means said game is ruined or an anti-SJW working on a game means it'll become right-wing propaganda. Like yeah, I get these sort of people could fuck shit up and they could no doubt be jackasses because of the shit they spew but I sincerely doubt they can hold much sway outside of whatever their job is suppose to be. Who knows, maybe I'm just kissing ass to cucks or chuds with this but I feel like the moment some dev has their past digged up by Kotaku or some pol-tard and it's some shit about Youtube or something, it's just gonna lead to tard ass hot takes and the like.

I can't see much appeal in MMO's. I missed out on Everquest and World of Warcraft due to being in grade school at that time and not having a computer that could run those games but even then with free MMO's a crappy laptop could handle, I can't see much reason to get into them. The only one that appealed to me, Wizardry Online, is long dead and I feel like an MMO where it's combat is just hit each other back and forth and watching numbers is boring. Runescape was a better experience than WoW when I actually got a chance to give the latter a try and Wizardry Online was better since hitting an enemy meant I actually hit them and running away and dodging before a guy hit me with his big ass anime sword meant I actually dodged the attack. It helped with Wizardry Online I could actually solo the first three starter dungeons and not look for a group of other players to join.

GamerGate as an event was pure autism on both sides. I don't even know whats true anymore and I don't think I can even care if Zoe Quinn never really did cheat and her ex was just a salty fuck or if there was collusion in the game journo industry and you had women and minorities in GamerGate and not just white boys. I say this because at this point everytime I see some headline or tweet talk about GamerGate, it's just the same sperging. All that's really true is that it's just nerds having slapfights with each other. Won't deny people like Milo grifting it and being a plant of that Bannon guy though. At least it gave ParkourDude91 some material to go with like "kicking Brianna Wu's, Ass Creed style."

The most that comes of it is Brianna Wu and Zoe Quinn remaining as literally who and Anita Sarkeesian gefting on something else than bitching about some nerd shit while her former boss Jonathan Mcintosh remains obscure while rambling about shit.

 

Melee is the worst game in the Smash Bros. series, only considered the best entirely due to warped nostalgia. The characters practically sink like rocks, the roster's missing no brainers such as Wario and Pit, the graphics look ugly and uncanny even by early GameCube standards, and of course, it spawned the most annoying and entitled fan base that outright refuses to let its stupid tourney scene die, even after it has long since stagnated and just the exact same shit every year. And said tourney scene only existed due to an overlooked bug in the physics engine.
Plus, due to the lack of guest fighters, we don't even get crazy third party characters such as Snake, Ryu, Cloud, Joker, or Terry. And the adventure mode in Melee sucks compared to the Subspace Emissary.
Even when compared to the original N64 title, it does not have the same charm. It didn't even have a silly and fun commercial such as this

TL;DR: the Smash Bros. community is once again full of shit, and have deluded themselves into thinking a now 20 year old game that has aged far worse than most other 1st party GameCube games is the absolute pinnacle of the series.

 

Breath of the Wild seems kind of boring.

Harvest Moon: Mad Dash is a really fun puzzle game. People don't like it because it is too mindless, but I like it because it is mindless. Sometimes you need a game where you can turn off your brain and chill.

 

Paper Mario as a series peaked by the first game. Paper Mario 64 was really the only one I like enough to keep playing to the end multiple times, and it was also the only that really stroke a good balance between the pre-existing Mario elements and stuff created specifically for the game.
The Thousand-Year Door actually felt weaker (and no amount of fanboys will change my mind on this) in that regard. The world felt more like a sidescroller with a bunch of mandatory fetch quests that seems to take delight in wasting my time, and the story was starting to get closer to somebody's fanfiction than an official Mario game. I'd only really bother beating it once because I like some of the characters (ie, Vivian, Bobbery, and Ms. Mowz). It's still a good time, it just feels like a downgrade from the original one.
Super Paper Mario went a lot further in the "jackoff's fanfiction" department to the point where I'm convinced that Intelligent Systems* forgot they were making a Mario game. Sticker Star and Color Splash happened. Origami King fixed most of the issues with the last two games, but still suffers from a weird battle system that can get tedious and annoying.
(* which ironically loves doing really stupid shit like turning Fire Emblem into weeb waifu simulator, dropping Advance Wars because they couldn't figure out how to sell out with that series, and the already mentioned Sticker Star and Color Splash games.)

 

I have to agree with the Paper Mario games. I do like Bug Fables and it did a really good job with feeling like an actual Paper Mario game.

Also, fuck Bowser's Inside Story there is this one kaiju fight with Bowser that has a time limit that I can NEVER beat no matter how hard I try.

 

The unpopular part of my opinion on Paper Mario really comes from the first game being the best, and not The Thousand-Year Door.
Granted, certain websites (ie, TV Tropes, GameFAQs, Reddit, and YouTube) have made me sick of hearing about that game, so I may have some bias, but I still definitely remembered that I thought it was weaker than Paper Mario 64 and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga when I got the game at the age of 12.
