also I think the best "stadium" pocketmons games* are the Colosseum ones because they've got story mode

*(Stadium series on N64, Colosseum and XD on GCN, Battle Revolution on Wii)

 

Gen 9 is probably my favorite one because I like how you can just wander around and suddenly find a random nook with a TM or a Pokemon you haven't caught yet and exploring never gets old.

 

good thing I got S'Silver as the battery in Silver was out

using the same battery for memory and clock is not that good of an idea

(and since flash memory was available back then using a battery for memory in the first place wasn't really a good idea either)

 

do you think the Pokemon world has Beer Leagues like how there is beer league hockey, baseball and stuff?

are you old enough to recall when monsters of pocket was really big in America the first time around?

pointless trivia: "Hex Maniac" is originally "オカルトマニア" ("Occult Mania").

I doubt that's a good name to have in a kid-friendly game in the USA*, so I can see why they changed it.

* (especially if the "satanic panic" with pokeyman was still around in 2002)

 

I know they censored the gen 3 one where the Japanese version her eyes were all white because she was possessed whereas the US and European version she had pupils.

Ironically, in Scarlet and Violet, Ryme, the ghost gym leader's eyes sometimes white out due to being possessed by spirits, but I guess it looks less scary when it is in 3D and animated.

 

I can tell you that you don't want this Mewtwo plush ...

 

I think Primal Kyogre is supposed to embody the first oceans forming (it rained a lot), while Primal Groudon represents the time when the oceans evaporate as the sun gets hotter with age.

(which also explains the "Alpha Sapphire" and "Omega Ruby" titles)

 

Magnemite and the evolutions seem to be cyborgs. They clearly have machine bodies, yet they eat berries, could get poisoned in Gen 1, could get poisoned by Twineedle in at least Gen 2, and of course they can hatch from eggs. Not only that, but they act collectively and talk (in the Mystery Dungeon games) in a way that seemingly lacks emotion.

So in other words, Magnemite and the evolutions are like the Borg of of the pocket monsters world, minus that assimilation thing?
