They did that whole reduplication thing in Dudunsparce's name for every single language, not just English and Japanese.

It would be interesting to see if in the Spanish translation of Scarlet and Violet if people from Paldea use "vosotros" (aka the Spanish ya'll) or not. It would be a nice touch.

 

Yeah, an extra syllable for the extra body segment. Actually there are two forms - one with four body segments, so you wonder why they didn't just make it a different species and call it Dududunsparce.

 

Fun fact, the probability of getting a 3 segment one is 3 percent which is the same as the encounter rate for it in dark cave when there isn't a swarm

There are a lot of different ways to shiny hunt and encountering shinies randomly is a lot easier in Scarlet and Violet since shinies show up on the overworld and whatnot.

 

I am addicted to force-feeding my team gross sandwiches to get shiny Pokemon. I fight every 5 and 6 star raid I see for the hope of getting more Herba Mystica(outside of the event 5 star raids which can never drop them). Got 27 shiny pokemon thusfar, including a whole set of shiny future paradox Pokemon. Every paradox Pokemon in violet has at least one location in Area Zero where they are the only Pokemon of a particular type that can spawn, which makes it easy to hunt without getting an unwanted Shiny. Scarlet isn't so lucky outside of the Flutter Mane glitch that makes it have a 100% shiny spawn rate, especially because Roaring Moon's only location is shared by the Deino line which has the exact same typing.

I do wish with the future paradox pokemon they would use other metals for their names besides "iron" I like the future paradox pokemon better overall, but at least the past paradox pokemon have more creative names.

The 3D game (also on Dreamcast) is kind of hard.

Much of it is gloomy scifi-ish places instead of "normal" ocean.

Closest thing in the pocketmons games is the underwater realm around Sootopolis in Hoenn.

(no sharks or Sharpedo there though)

 

A bit of a request, but does anyone have a Charmander? I missed the Charizard event because I'm dumb. I can trade a Scorbunny from the current event or if there is something you want from Scarlet let me know.

The DLC looks pretty fun. I can't wait to explore more of Area Zero and stuff.

Pokemon Sleep sound like it would suck if you have a sleep disorder.
