That's a lot of luigis, I didn't know you collected them
Who in their mind thought remaking Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life was a good idea god damn it it isn't. I remember playing that as a child and even thinking "I don't know about this one, hope it doesn't portend a turn to consistently worse games in the series going forward" and then it did.
worse part is I'm still going to play it anyway.
Also it was the only Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons that had an actual hard end point in the game after a certain amount of years in game because
you fucking die in like your early 40's. This is not a joke. You seriously get to watch your distraught spouse find your dead body in bed, call a doctor who pronounces that you're gone, and then watch your family and all the villagers and your friends be sad over your death. fucked up game
Damn, I didn't realize you could actually die in that game, seriously... Then again, I never really got to that point playing for forty years or so
My old 3DS is getting kind of busted up. The L and R buttons stopped working so I had to remove them, and now one has to use a stylus or pen to press the little things in there that the buttons originally pushed on. Also the B button is getting unresponsive. Playing Mario 64 DS is only fully playable in that "dual hand mode", which involves a really awkward use of the touch screen and the D-pad or the 4 buttons on the other side. Ironically, my GBAs and old DS are in better shape - although the latter has serious battery issues. Seems Switch has drift.
tl;dr: quality seems to be proportional with age of system
I feel like I'm getting too old for Nintendo Direct, State of Play, and other virtual events. All I could see was just a bunch of sequels, some soulless indies, ports, and remasters (including a previous Apple Arcade exclusive title). No footage for Pikmin 4 and Tears of the Kingdom seems like what could be a DLC for Breath of the Wild instead of a whole new game - this could change though.
Moving on, is anyone playing Splatoon 3? How does it play differently from the previous one?
The original Splatoon still seems new to me. Now there's already 3?
tfw the Squid Game wasn't a Splatoon adaptation like I seriously thought it was.
I've been juggling my Shiny Pokemon around my various switch titles to collect Ribbons before Scarlet and Violet come out. It's quite the task is I have around 1,500 Shiny Pokemon, many of which are duplicates(And mostly from Gen IV via RNG abuse, Pokeradar chaining, and doing a Heart Gold run with the Cute Charm Glitch for a 1/10 chance to encounter wild shiny Pokemon)
Because most are from Gen IV most of the Ribbons obtainable in the switch titles are already on them, Just need Galar Champion, Tower Master, Twinkling Star, Pioneer Ribbon, and Master Rank(the latter being the hardest)
The only wild shiny* I've ever seen since playing the Gen 1 games is a Zubat (IIRC).
*(that wasn't the red Gyarados)
Even not including glitches, exploits, breeding, soft-resetting, and mechanics/events that give increased or guaranteed chances, I have obtained the following as grass/wild encounters with full-odds chances(All successfully captured):
-Dustox (Shining Pearl)
-Drifblim (Legends: Arceus)
-Glalie (Legends: Arceus)
-Staraptor (Legends: Arceus)
Overworld Spawns showing Shininess(and making a distinct noise when they spawn) make Shiny Pokemon seem more common in Legends, but they still have the same chances as any other game.
I guess you got lucky, or maybe I don't have much shiny luck.
(I think the odds should be more like 1 in 100, not 1 in 1E4.)
Allow me to fix that.
The Nokia N-Gage does what NINTENDONT.
Pikmin 4 is a thing now
I made sure to get all of the 3DS and Wii U Digital-only content I want before March. Most of it had been sitting on my wishlist for years. Also got some physical 3DS and Wii U games since I'm am fairly certain prices will increase once you cannot buy them digitally anymore(Though many titles already have been inflated for years, but I already had most titles that ended up that way.
The Wii U eshop didn't have much that I didn't already have on the system(Just some DLC for games I have and Pocky & Rocky & Becky for the GBA Virtual Console), but for 3DS I had a buttload of indy and virtual console games I wanted to grab up.
For anyone with Gen V-VII Pokemon titles, outside of the obvious Bank(and don't forget to download Transporter via the main screen of Bank) I would recommend grabbing Pokemon Dream Radar , The Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Special Demo, and the Sun/Moon Special Demo, since they all have Pokemon and/or items you can send to B2W2, ORAS, and SuMo, respectively. Also wouldn't hurt to get any of the 6(Or 7 in the Japanese eshop) Gen I and II games on Virtual Console you don't already have, even if you have the paired versions of them already.
I'm already getting "controller drift" on the NS I got.
new zelda is alright
I heard people were making dick copters in it
I like Pokemon.
This otome youtuber I follower who is probably the biggest one who covers those games is really, really salty about the fact that they took out the sex scenes in Crimson Flower: Lunar Coupling. Like, seriously lady, Nintendo is very lenient when it comes to sex stuff compared to Sony, but still, what do you expect? I personally don't really care for that.
