Will Nintendo ever make any more Pilotwings games?

(the N64 one is still best in the series)

 

Every Pilotwings game released thusfar seems to be released to show off something new graphically:

-The first one for SNES showed off the power of the Mode 7 chip
-The second one for N64 showed off the polygonal graphics of the N64
-The third one for 3DS showed off the 3D effects of the 3DS handheld.

 

The 3rd one is OK, but it sucks compared to the N64 game.

- only one area that feels as tiny as Holiday Island from the N64 game
- BS 5 minute time limit on even free flight that ends flight when time runs out
- no original characters in the games - only imported Miis

The 1st one is OK, but it sucks compared to the N64 game.

- the areas are completely flat and same-y (even though it's tech limits)
- it's all about taking hard tests and getting high scores
- no different characters at all

(also both the SNES and 3DS games lack the free flight birdman thing of the N64 game)

 

I'm actually surprised that the first two Famicom Detective Club games not only got remade, but also officially translated into English.

If they remade the third one I can imagine many parts of it being changed or censored in the west.

Forgotten Land is GOTY material in my opinion

 

I remember playing Pokemon Battle Revolution online.

IIRC, I never lost to the Western players, but always lost to the Japanese players.

one lost battle was against a team of all bugs

 

Homebrewing my new Nintendo 3DS is probably one of the best decisions I have made.

Indeed. But you can send them back to Nintendo and they will fix to you for free (at least around here).
