    It could've been the American Rabbit combined with Pikachu instead. Chris would've still been Chris.

    Although since there would've been no sweepstakes or Sonic, maybe Chris would've been more humble and less obsessed with video games? And of course, no sanic = no blarms.

    And there would've been no tossing pennies while declaring that Sonic is dead.

    Even if American Rabbit became very obscure by the 1990's.

    There's that. Unless some other stupid sweepstakes didn't show up he bothered sending in for (say a NIckelodeon Toy Run, those were big, though I don't suppose he'd know what he'd want within the short amount of time they'd give you to cart your ass all over the store).

    They'd just be throwing pennies at the kid who wants a girlfriend.

    I doubt Chris watches CNN. TV news would probably have him bored in seconds. It's likely that he gets the vast majority of his news from Facebook.
