Call it a wild guess, but I predict that Chris will likely have another run-in with the law in the near future.

It should be related to trespassing.

And after several months and a handful of continuances, Chris probably will be let go with no major consequences.

Just a shot in the dark, really.

Chris seems to be on a yearly cycle. This hearing was Chris' annual run-in with the law, so I'm guessing we've got another 6+ months to wait until "Oops, he did it again."

 

That bat's proving to be just for show, so I doubt its going to be assault and battery.

Be that as it may, I still have no idea how he even got that bat in there to begin with, let alone how he’s going to get it out quickly in an emergency, but it makes me giggle to think he’s just going to whip the bag off and swing it around like a hobo bag on a stick.

 

I've been wondering this as well. I have the same bag, and at the top of it there are rivets holding the strap in place. So I think he just cut a hole below the rivets for the bat to stick out. Alternatively, he may have just cut the entire top off, but I doubt any repair job Chris could manage would support a bat.

 

I checked out TMG's policy on what constitutes a weapon, and baseball bats aren't mentioned among the banned items for cosplayers. It mostly was allowed due to a technicality despite the fact baseball bats and ball pin hammers are known to be carried by the likes of biker gangs for their lethality and plausible deniability of intent.

 

In the breakdown video, you can actually see another guy with a bat in the background, cosplaying a character from Hotline Miami.

At this point why even bother? Just give chris a lollipop, a few stickers and make him promise to never do something like this again before sending him home.

 

They dragged out that dead public defender to represent Chris again for the tenth time.

 

Imagine this poor SOB's reaction to this clown show. 'Jesus, this is what, the 20th time I've interrupted my coffee break to come down and kick this can down the road? When is the judge going to throw this manchild's case out the window and let me sleep in?'

 

Either they should just drop the case or sentence him because 10 continuances seems like a waste of time for all parties imo.

 

*sips bourbon* tax dollars at work. For someone who really feels the importance of a fair trial is the basis of any nation, Chris at times makes me wish Judge Dredd was a thing.

 

He trespassed AGAIN? How often will he be allowed to trespass in various places until he'll feel some consequences?
