What are you playing right now?

Yeah, especially when considering even other games at Skyrim's time had better third person fighting like Kingdoms of Amalur. Wanted to try it out just to see how it all was since people love to cream over how someone's video looked "ULTRA REALISTIC" but I'm one of those assholes that honestly feels like it's all akin to a Great Value bargain brand. Doesn't help first person combat was better out the box and even that felt meh compared to Oblivion's. Todd's game was good only for mods, it can't compared to Dark Souls or Dying Light in combat and I'm disappointed modders don't try to copy things from Mordhau or Dying Light. And Mordhau is pretty much like Oblivion but you have much more improved fighting that just says "your armor will save you from a one hit kill but it won't save you from the next swing of a pole-axe from an unwashed peasant."

Also forgot to mention playing the System Shock Remake. It's fun but my heart still lies with System Shock 2. Still, I can see the passion Nightdive made in wanting to give an old game some new life that wasn't just a rerelease or source port. Also forgot to mention playing Slayers X. It's a boomer shooter that perfectly encapsulates that late 90's teenage edge while being a fun game to play. Short as hell though so to make the most out of it, I played it on the highest difficulty after beating the game.

Edit: Actually found a guide that was completely straight to the point with installing the third person combat overhauls for Skyrim and I will say after giving it a shot, I'm just not impressed with it. I get people could say it's like Dark Souls or similar games but it feels like someone tried to make their own Souls game but every humanoid character swings like CWC if you gave Chris a large stick while regular animals actually aren't held down in their attacks. Congrats to all those who hyped it up, it actually makes me feel like vanilla combat for Skyrim is good for a change.

 

Biscuit the Dachsbun one shotted the asshole stork and two shotted him during phase two. I also got rid of my starter for a finizen.

Played a bit of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Slow burn that feels meh in the beginning but the game gets better as it picks up. Only problem I have is just how much backtracking the game feels like it has with how big dungeons try to look when I don't have an exit on the other end.

 

It could be cool if one could use "magic vision" to make the atmosphere, clouds, and/or surface liquid look invisible IRL. And alter "exposure" so any light pollution doesn't interfere.

like being able to see clouds and sun in a black sky with stars IRL

(one can do those things in SE)

 

Seriously, these Titan Pokemon are really easy if you know what you are doing, I am not even trying to get overleveled or anything, I am just exploring and wandering around mostly. The Team Star admins on the other hand, not so much.

Dun caught two shiny Eiscues on our wedding day a couple years ago because our wedding happened to occur on National Penguin Day so there was an event and he is going to transfer mine to my Violet version (I don't have Pokemon Home because I am a cheapskate who doesn't want to pay the small yearly fee I do wish there was a family discount)

I am probably going to go face Rapping Granny and then go to the lake of lag to defeat the final titan and then take on Ortega (who looks super fabulous by the way)

 

Final Fantasy XVI

 

26 hours in and I'm about 65% through FFXVI. This game is my GOTY.

 

Exploring what Dun and I like to call the Lake of Lag area in Violet before I take on Eri

 

seems galaxies can rarely lack central black holes

(also a central black hole cluster can crash game)

 

Finished FFXVI yesterday. 9.9/10, and it's my GOTY for 2023.

Just tying up some loose ends for trophies now.

I played the pikmin 4 demo twice
It was alright, a bit too easy though

 

Getting the legendary quartet and completing my Pokedex right now. Will probably do all the rematches as well. But yeah, I am ready for the DLC when it starts coming out in the fall.

 

Isn't Pikmin an all ages RTS?
