Playing Crusader Kings. The pope just invited me to come chill out at a tournament he is hosting.

 

Yesterday I tried the Final Fantasy 14 MMO for a total of what may of been 30 minutes. It reminded me of World of Warcraft in thinking it was better seeing the hype via gameplay footage than actually playing the game. That said, I did kinda like the character creation and some armor sets I saw looked nice and I wish I could of tried my hand at customizing a Viera character but I ain't throwing money down just to customize one for a game I'll very likely never come to again, even if it was a rare occasion. Other than that, I been trying random ass Oblivion mods for the sole purpose of shits n giggles, more so in the more obscure stuff that isn't on the Nexus Mods and hoping what I find can somehow function. Trying one such mod, it made me appreciate the potato faces more.

Said mod was from some Chinese or Japanese modder that tried to make everyone look pretty which might seem nice but in all honesty, I sort of prefer a more vanilla like face in these games. This also means shit people could recommend like the Character Overhaul can kindly stay out of my game since those faces look too chiseled and "pretty" not round enough like vanilla Oblivion.

 

In that Shantae game I just got, I reached a "blockoff point" in Tassel Town.

Playing Winter's Wish: Spirits of Edo right now currently. I finished the common route and I guess it is okay, though the introductions to all of the guys seemed really unnatural with how in tandem it was

 

my personal ranking of Pilotwings games:

#1: 64: different characters, different locations, no 5-minute limit

#2: Resort: good graphics and play - but only one location, only Miis for different characters, 5-minute limit

#3: SNES: no terrain and everything is flat, it's all about taking tests, and it seems hard to play

Played some Crysis 2 Remastered. I enjoy playing it more than the first Crysis though it helps they made the suit take more bullets on normal difficulty and it doesn't have a ton of foliage hiding enemies compared streets of New York city having enemies that aren't as hard hitting being easier to spot. Also while it's not video game related, I managed to get a stable diffusion to run. Testing it out to see if it can actually generate without making face melted horrors.

Getting close to beating Crysis 2, last stretch feels like some fake BS in difficulty because my only guns at the beginning of the level is a weak ass SMG I never used and a shotgun that's crappy in big fire fights. Still, having fun going through the last level.

Edit: Finally beaten the game after finding out the level I went through was the penultimate level. Last level did have its share of BS for an "end boss" in dealing with the most annoying type of enemy having way more health than anything else I fought. At least I saved up most of my explosives.

Also forgot to note another game I played and beaten called Slayers X. Another boomer shooter based on a character from another game called HypnoSpace Outlaw, a game where you play as the cyberpolice/mod in the year of 1999 internet. Fun game but I should of waited for a sale since it was rather short.

 

Shantae games sure have catchy tunes...

 

Hmmmm... I can't decide whether to play Taisho x Alice or Bustafellows after I finish Spirits of Edo which I am almost done with

I decided to play Taisho x Alice. Luckily I had some leftover gift card money from Christmas so I could get the English text DLC. It does control different than otome games published by Aksys

 

Just finished the Final Fantasy XVI demo.

Goddamn that game is beautiful.

 

Halfway done with Taisho x Alice, I like how the routes are in such a way that everyone plays a different role in each route like they are actors and they are more or less self contained. Though the Gretel route is obviously the author's thinly disguised fetish considering you are held captive by him and everything that comes with it aside from actual sex which is a no-no in most otome games and for the better honestly.

Wasn't expecting to hear Tomar. I sometimes forget that he's a professional voice actor and not just some guy on Newgrounds and Oneyplays.

 

Pogeymanz right now. Violet specifically. It is sooooooo much fun just wandering around and finding shit.

Taisho x Alice can be played later

 

Tried to mod Skyrim to make its third person combat look like Great Value Dark Souls and honestly, I'm wondering why no one has yet made some AIO folder that has everything working since trying out third person fighting just has my character do one swing. At this point, I can't even see any reason for updating Skyrim's third person combat unless someone just made an AIO that doesn't require me to sit through different tutorials in trying to know how to make shit work.

Also played a bit of Among Us with a friend. Ended up dying in two rounds, first from being subjected to racism just because everyone thought red meant I was an evil communist, second time was getting killed by another person.
