What are you playing right now?

Lately I've been playing Dragon's Dogma 2. Despite the negative reception the PC version got, my run has had only one crash so far. Fuck golems though, Capcom made them annoying to fight since "maximum health loss" means I can't just spam more healing items and some how, being on the punching arm by its side means I have to get hit even though I'm not even connected an oncoming fist that goes into a surface.

Finished Dragon's Dogma 2 a few days ago. Doing a second run with the same characters and doing the run with all the sidequest completed just like before but without making some borked choices.

 

Actually got back into Fallout 2 again with the Restoration Project. Despite being years and knowing how people will say it looks out of date, I'm having more fun playing through it than I did with any of the Fallout games that came after it. Not even New Vegas can fulfill that same feeling the classic ones can.

 

Tried to give Temple of Elemental Evil a shot for the fifth time. I still can't DnD without bitching on a DSP level because holy shit I just want a good basic ass party build with the recommended feats and stats to not get bumrushed by skeletons in an open field.

 

Ive been playing DbD again since the D&D chapter came out

 

Been playing Elden Ring on and off with its DLC. Made it up to a forest where a unique bullshit enemy has to be parried in order to be hurt. I don't mind that except it becomes BS when somehow I reacted too early or too late and get killed by some bullshit grab attack.

 

M81 in Space Engine is a cool place to visit. It's a spiral galaxy over 10 million ly away.

There is a couple of irregular galaxies close by and even more spiral galaxy in a distance.

 

Yes to either. As toxic as "git gud" is, I feel that sometimes one does need to practice and eventually they'll get it. Of course I can also imagine some people will say they don't have patience which in that case, just find another game if you don't want to get the hang of something. Other than that however, I'm wondering what else to play other than diving back into Kingdom Hearts on PC and see how much it is now compared to seeing it as a kid.

 

I've finally finished Dragon Quest XI. And by "finished", I of course meant, "witness the credits".
Still have to do the post-game content that's about as long as the rest of the game.

Street Fighter 6 is on sale right now for 50% off ... so I picked up the Ultimate edition because I want to try out Ed.

I suck at fighting games, but that doesn't mean I don't like playing them.

 

I tried playing Fallout London to entertain people, but it's way too unstable right now. It got to a point where I couldn't load saves without it crashing, so I'm just gonna wait until it gets a patch or two. I've seen a lot of people online go nuts over it, but I don't think it's actually that great so far. They added a technology Todd said was impossible in the engine which was climbable ladders, so there's that.

 

Climbable ladders is funny considering Todd's space game had that.

Been playing OTXO. Died once to an annoying boss, but doing a second run I managed to beat it and now I unlocked a bunch of other things for it. Also played the second COD game in the series and just like with World at War, rifles don't really feel that powerful beyond being a long distance weapon.

Got back into Cyberpunk 2077. For all there was with story, I legit haven't even gone far in act 2. I'm still busy doing side quest and the like and that's what I'll remember more than my character trying to get a USB stick with Keanu Reeves out of his head.

 

Black Myth Wukong has taken my time. I will say that I'm having a blast in playing as a monkey that beats the crap out of furries and other Chinese monsters with a battle stick.

 

Civilization Revolution (DS version).

In the "Beta Centauri" scenario, all civs start with all available techs, but because you (the non-AI player) has all techs, the other players (the AI) "think" you're going to get a Science Victory because you have all techs (even though they also do), so they end up all declaring war on you. Best way to avoid war is to not contact them, which is usually easy as they commonly don't set out to explore the world in that scenario.

 

Gone back to Gothic 2 after seeing how there were some stat exploits. It's all helpful since I can't play it without its "Night of the Raven" add-on that jacked up the stats of everything that it really makes the game not so fun compared to the first Gothic. I will say that it only makes me appreciate Gothic 1 more because a lot of enemies aren't exactly fair to fight in a melee, not when they have few attack frames that makes me feel like some encounters require having the reflexes of a Hollywood crackhead that scurries around.
