Looks like that "Praetor" trolling group has been making fake CWC jail art.

if true they must be desperate o_O

Figures it wouldn't be from something smarter, like a fear of technology dehumanizing people.

Something that's been on my mind is:
what exactly makes someone a lolcow?

For Chris it's easy. It's some combination of his terrible comics, Love Quest and the fascination surrounding his life.
For someone like DSP or Wings it's primarily personality that made them vulnerable to trolling.
The question is, though: what's the difference between them and any online person with weird interests?

This comes to mind when I think about Chris orbiters who got involved with him in some way. Should I be as troubled as I am that the Wallflower got her details spread widely online, or that the Suitress got a 200 page thread on Kiwi Farms with people simping for her ironically?
Did the Wallflower deserve it for being into incest fanfic?
Did she deserve the same level of scrutiny as Chris for that reason?
With Jacob Sockness I have much less concern - that man was certifiably INSANE.

Is there a line between who deserves attention from a bunch of strangers on the internet and who just needs to be left alone? Is there some kind of double standard going on here?
Of course you can get on your high horse and say 'Chris never deserved attention in the first place', but, you know, that tugboat sailed almost 20 years ago.

All lolcows are more or less egotistical, make an ass of themselves online, lack learning from mistakes, and react to trolling by "feeding the trolls".* If they're freakish - like a certain lolcow commonly discussed here - that easily attracts even more attention, like how people stop and gawk at someone making a scene.

    * Which is why they're "lolcows": they can be easily "milked" for laughs.

More or less what you said. To sum up what Meowthkip told me: lack of self-awareness is one of the things that makes up a lolcow. That and giving the trolls attention. Unfortunately, aside from how much of one can say the lolcow stuff can be anti-social, the term itself is pretty much diluted into becoming "person I don't like because of cringe thing." If that was really the only definition then everyone pretty much would just be a lolcow for some cringeworthy thing and not lack of self-awareness and falling for bait and giving trolls a reaction they wanted.

Incest fanfics would no doubt be cringe because of the fetish itself being something that is indeed gross IRL and with fiction would likely just have someone jacking off to fictional characters that are all related which in of itself is also gross. That said, if Wallflower ever had gotten to be an ass over incest fanfics and tried to make it sound like something not disgusting on the same level as zoophiles trying to justify dog fucking on social media or tried to complain of those not liking it and those disagreeing with her as "kink-shamers" or "SJW's" then she would be a valid target in seeing them as a lolcow if she were to flip her shit even at people mildly disagreeing while not getting why anyone would find it gross or cringeworthy.

Can't say the same for the suitress since I just read her CWCKI article and it can only make me wonder how one could have a crush on Chris when considering even the hygiene standards Chris has other than wondering "what the hell would one see in Chris?"

It's strange but ultimately not that surprising.
People like Wings and Boogie2988, no matter how repulsive they may seem to us, were in relationships and had girls thirsting over them at some point.
The question is whether the girls in question deserved the scrutiny for their attraction, like it makes them 'cringe' as a result or something.

With Boogie2988, I remember him being married simply because his divorce was a thing mentioned on either Twitter or Kiwi Farms. For Wings, I never kept up with him but for people to thirst over them, I can only assume at the very least there's someone getting aroused by :fatman:but otherwise, I can't imagine how one can thirst over someone that could make shit takes and the like with Boogie2988. Then again, I never kept up with him other than knowing he made his own brand of tweets that caused people to not like him, whether they were mild or not. As for Wings, I never even focused on him so I can't even say.

There's a reason the CWCki abandoned its old slogan. Shit really CAN be too minor.

Yeah, more of a white knight than a ween or anything.
I guess the ultimate thing that makes the Suitress NOT a lolcow is that she got off the internet. No point in discussing someone who isn't going to react back.

I still cannot get over the fact that people bought the Sonic totem and the Sonichu medallions.

They have that shit in their house.
I get that people own weird shit as a talking point, but imagine bringing a girl/guy back to yours, and they ask about this weird crayola model magic™ abomination laying around the place, and you're like "What? That? Oh, yeah watch this seventy part documentary on this weird autistic guy...."

Not like weens get any. Or have their own places. I know ‘they live in their parents’ basement’ is a tedious cliche but it’s probably true with anyone who buys that stuff.

With the Sonic Totem, that's a special case. The guy that did that, aside from being some A-Logger, was a furry in his 50's that iirc wasn't even liked by the whatever furry community he belonged to. As for the medallions, that may as well be a cheaper thing for one to buy and it is more iconic than some paper mache figure of Sonic.

While the documentary could make for a good time killer to listen to, reading a wiki can be better in just getting into the details but that could vary for some.

one thousand dollars on Chris? Its the same reason why you don't give free handouts to homeless people because they will just spend that money on booze and drugs. In manchildren like Chris's case, they will spend that money on vidya and what not

To prevent "Chris Chan" from ruining something to you, all you need to do is see the fact that you're not him, and also there can be others who like the thing too.

Otherwise spring, the color blue, and macaroni and cheese could be ruined too.

I didn't realize that Chris really likes the John Tesch radio show. I just know it is on those Lite Stations at night where he talks about "Intelligence for your Life" where he often misquotes recent research studies and stuff. Apparently Chris has cited him sometimes.
