    Every normal boy in the 80s got extremely disappointed when they heard Ghostbusters was coming on only for it to be the shitty one with the gorilla. Only a retard would watch that shit....oh wait.

    I do, I don't think the show played locally but I knew it existed.

    And this is why I can't get mad at Lou, he knew how to play the system!

    I on the other hand had first-hand exposure to this shit back then.
    That was the nadir of our pain as 80's tots. You really had to remember one show has "REAL" in the title, like milk!

    My mom actually rented American Rabbit so I kind of remember it. I was really young though so it's probably for the best.

    DeJarnette, as in Joseph DeJarnette a Virginian "doctor" of eugenics. The derelict building Chris went to is The DeJarnette State Sanitorium which was named after him although he never practiced there.

    I really enjoy the idea that Chris wants future generations of kids to be treated at this renovated site that sits on the grounds of some no doubt unethical medical crimes scene. It really underlines his continued extended mental naivete about the appropriateness of things.
