I think this snippet of your example is a testament to my prior statement that AI has no understanding of what it is trying to replicate, and it will not get better until the technology advances beyond "pattern recognition algorithm."

The AI recognizes that "armor" (it does not actually know that this is armor) images often have parallel curved lines that are colored in shades of brown. It recognizes that different colored areas will be broken up by linework. Oh. Is that hair or is it linework? It doesn't matter, it broke up that leather strap, I mean armor beveling, I mean leather strap, so the area has to be a different color now. "Armor" I mean boobs often have this shape and detail to them, right? Oh, there's another one. Round mound shape. Those have details to them right?

Oh, clothes (I don't know what clothes are) on necks (I don't know what necks are) are often shaped like this, right? I do not know what perspective is, I do not know what fabric is, I do not know what metal is. I will make it all of this at once because that is what I've "seen" before.
    upload_2023-9-22_13-23-31.png

Metal (I don't know what metal is) often has rivets, right? (By that I mean circles. I don't know what rivets are.) Is it supposed to be this many?
    upload_2023-9-22_13-25-12.png
    Or this many?
    upload_2023-9-22_13-25-32.png

It can't be perfected so long as it's relying on patterns. There's too much that can be drawn, in too many different ways. An artist understands what they want to produce, so even while they're making mistakes, they often at least produce the result they want on the first pass. An image generator can't. And we need to come a lot closer to giving it true intelligence before it ever can. (We're not even close.)

Indeed to it all. Even with an image that looks like something an artist could competently draw, there is always details that are off. some of the "rivets" don't even make sense. Neither do the belts near the hair, they just look like they melt right into the metal. On the surface this would look like some generic armored anime girl drawn from a guy based in Japan/China/Korea. On a closer look, it's all just made by an AI with all sorts of jank that comes from its algorithm since it's all just trained on a variety of images. This, on top of knowing how people think what AI is, makes me want to laugh at how we will never even be close to AI that's portrayed in fiction. We will never reach the level of SHODAN or Skynet AI. The most we have is just this algorithm programmed by someone that likely left at least one error somewhere in its code. And just go back on the whole "AI replacing artist", these images I posted will just show how the idea itself is laughable. Actual artist will never be fully replaced, not when all we got is that pattern recognition, contrary to what some suit thinks would be an easy way to save money.

For an AI generated image, it's pretty good.

Ah yes, trees rooted in picnic blankets, the pumpkin pot with a stem in it, the leaves that hover in place around trees and whatever happened to that poor house.

There's this "Y3000" variant of "Coca-Cola" that's supposedly "co-created with artificial intelligence" and "futuristic flavored", but it tastes like the normal kind with a hint of orange?

Aside from the cup(?) in the shirt pocket, and whatever happened to the elbow, this legit could of looked like something from a crappy 80's-90's sitcom idea.
For whatever reason, the background in the bottom right panel somehow is reminding me of loss.

Guy was suppose to be Southeast Asian but the skin tone doesn't really scream Filipino or Vietnamese. Also the lack of a face.

A better version only because he's looking in the opposite direction, while scratching his ass or reaching into his back pocket. The funny thing is that the prompt had "dilapidated" in it but as I let Stable Diffusion run, it made a rather nice looking area instead.

Tried some website based AI art generator called Unstable Diffusion. Gave it a shot.

Southeast Asian man in a rainy cyberpunk city. Dunno about Southeast Asian but for some reason my mind thinks more of Korean.

Same as above except the guy looks like he's looking for the leather club. At least he might fit in Night City as a joy toy or a wannabe edgerunner

An arctic fox furry woman in casual clothes at a cafe. Lets just note that the barista is a regular looking fox.
    IMAGE#0cfecddf-4da3-42d1-a7f5-469b30301bad.png

Same as above but the AI fucked up in giving her a human skin tone.
    IMAGE#15d93021-8d94-4120-b0eb-04e619a57f98.png

Same furry except she is in "knightly armor" which is just the AI making crappy fantasy armor that is obviously impractical but at least the neck protection is kinda there but not really.
    IMAGE#4d3a43cd-7fef-47cf-a46e-5efa66e27582.png

One can of course note all the problems the AI has, from certain limbs being malformed or missing to parts of an outfit not making sense (like the armor in all of its parts on the last image)

The only "AI art" I have the coding skills to write?

A routine where an area is filled with randomly placed, randomly colored, solid color circles of random radii?
