I'm not a fan of Let's Plays, but this book is proof that the only thing more boring than watching someone play a video game, is reading about someone playing a video game.

I'll really be surprised if anyone here has anything new to say about this steaming pile of excrement. I've never read anywhere a single positive review for this book, and it may honestly be the worst book ever written.

 

I'm two pages in and the book has mostly consisted of him repeatedly asking himself why the book even needs to exist. Seriously, that's all it's been, him asking himself questions smdh

 

Good grief. And sentences don't need to be that long, Bob.
I would also like to point out that this book contains the phrase "sleek, sexy Genesis."

Who wants to bet that this reviewer can't make it through a Philip Roth novel because there's not enough video game references?

 

I've been giving it a read and I can without a doubt confirm that Bob chimpman is the most punchable writer in existence.

 

This is the biggest piece of shit I've ever read.

 

Someone thought it was a good idea to write hundreds of pages critically analyzing and nitpicking at something marketed to a general audience -- children in particular -- that people normally just enjoy for fun?

 

The platoon never even saw the PlayStation coming, and it took out half of us. My best friend lost a foot, and I had to drag him to safety on my hands and knees. Our Mario rations are dangerously low, and we are completely out of blast processing. I fear we won't survive the night.

 

Oh, he also believes that Activision did 9/11 and he was ordained by Miyamoto to save gaming. He's quite the card. As for his book, the only worthy item in it was when he described his life. The actual level discussion is dryer than the Kalahari desert.
