What are you watching right now?

I got the first five seasons of Ultraman for me and Dun's third year anniversary. I want to binge watch it, but Dun advises against it since Ultraman is one of those shows that was meant to be tuned in weekly and as a result it kind of formulaic and not something to be binged.

 

I never watched much TV shows or web shows that isn't some Youtuhe video but lately I seen the first two episodes of the Fallout TV show. Despite whatever Bethesda did to the canon and all, I could care less about what the fans have disliked since I always ended up divorcing the source material and these shows based off the games. Oddly enough after enjoying the first two episodes, it did make me want to replay the first two games.

Not much of a sports guy but this was an interesting underdog story. Also gotta love how salty Rob is throughout at not being as famous as Ryan. Maybe he needs to be in a superhero movie sometime.

 

I actually watched Foodfight earlier today, and it is as horrible as everyone says it is.

 

Watched some Smiling Friends that weren't clips. Clips did make me feel like the show was longer than 11 minutes.

Watching Penn & Teller Bullshit. Though in the case of the episode on circumcision, I'm listening to it instead, because the imagery is disturbing even for them.

 

I never finished Gen 4 of Ponies, so I started off from where I left off.

I stopped around the end of Season 6, I just couldn't with the Changelings becoming all bright and colorful. "You guys aren't evil anymore, that means you're beautiful now!"

I just fucking hate that. My biggest pet peeve with Friendship is Magnets is all the times it teaches bad morals. Something it's prone to doing in good episodes.

Hits like "If Cowboy Ponies show up demanding to use your land, you are obligated to share it with them, even if you are a native american Buffalo", and "If your abuser was themselves abused, it means you need to immediately forgive them and try to empathize, even if they are currently acting as an aggressor."

Oh and with the Changelings "Beauty and morality are intrinsically linked."

The "Unreformed" Changeling design was 20% cooler

I binge watched the alternate timeline version of Ren & Stimpy that accidentally entered our timeline. The one that's actually funny and its creator isn't an insufferable cock:

(Shame I can't easily watch Joe Murray's other cartoon, Camp Lazlo. That was one of my favorites, Thanks, Warner Bros.)

 

I love how they got away with calling the restaurant the Chokey Chicken until like season 4 where the studio finally realized the innuendo and had to go back to change the name in the previous episodes.

 

Fun fact: the DVD set I got has the unaltered name, as well as the airport episode that was removed from reruns following 9/11.

 

On that topic, I like how the original Super Mario Bros movie had to cut out the part where Bowser merges the two dimensions and it shows the WTC in a ruined state.

 

Spoiler: Funny thing about thing

They actually didn't remove that scene. All DVD and blu-ray releases have kept that exact same shot of the World Trade Center disintegrating.
