Twitter 3/23 - Sad about Toys R Us closing

It’s kinda funny to me, if Chris could restrain himself a little he might’ve made a good TRU employee. He knows about toys n vidya. Most TRU employees are old, unhelpful women. At this point Chris could’ve been an old, helpful (pretend) woman.

 

Well now he blew that chance. Unless that new "Kay Bee Toys" thing becomes a reality somehow. Someone though said it'll be more a seasonal kiosk thing however.

 

Oh yeah I can’t imagine Kay Bee coming back like it was. There’s a good reason they went out of business as well. Chris running a toy kiosk at a mall would be something though. Im pretty sure he’d call it quits after a day.

 

With his supply of now vintage toys, he could be in bushiness for a while.

 

I never been to "Toys R Us" because there wasn't one near me when I was a kid.
the only thing I remember is the TV Ads with that funny looking Giraffe.

 

Even if it was the same reason that TRU went under anyway.

Probably, though I wouldn't mind seeing him running a flea market booth.

That's a shame, my town had three locations at its height.

Given national coverage, that was common. I was seeing ads for places I still didn't had in town yet, like this ad for Blockbuster Video Nickelodeon played a few years before my town finally had these places...


Of course there was a lot of stores I only ever heard about on TV or elsewhere that didn't show up like Tower Records, Showbiz Pizza or the WB Studio Store. I STILL don't have an IMAX theater locally.
