All the more reason I'm kinda wanting this to happen.

Chris could have the greatest time of his life there, but the moment the money runs out and he maxes out his credit card he'll start begging from the con goers and the con staff. That's when Chris will flip his shit when he doesn't get what he wants, in public, around people who aren't going to put up with him. Trust me, Con security won't tolerate this and will ask him to leave. Chris will probably be emboldened by a positive experience and get physical. I expect chris will leave the con early, and declare that bronies are mean, mean people.

 

Well it wouldn't be the first time Chris embarked on a road trip. Back in 2009 Chris drove all the way up to Cleveland, OH because at the time trolls had convinced him that his latest fake sweetheart has been kidnapped. Despite being completely hoodwinked he actually did alright on that drive (well, except for locking himself out of his car.) Of course a road trip to California is a hell of a lot longer than a trip to Ohio from where he is, and I agree that there's no way in hell he'd be able to do it.

 

And he grossly underestimated the cost of that trip, too.

 

and it suddenly came to me that Barb and Bob threatened chris that if he ever traveled that far again he wouldn't be allowed back into chateau Chandler. of course, its very likely it was just an idle threat to scare chris into staying home. I doubt Barb would enforce that now.

Point taken, but I think Barb doesn't want her son to get out from under her thumb. Chris is her wheelchair at this point. He helps her get around. As revealed in the Armchair Psychology thread, she also sees him as part of her hoard. Chris belongs to her.

And with barb being brought up again: Chris may not have brought this trip up to her. There's still a chance of her putting the kibosh on this road trip.

Can his rattling shit mobile even survive such a trip? He better get his oil checked man hard driving with it rattling so much. Get some of the gunk cleaned out of it or something? Seeing it's a chandler owned device it's poorly maintained like everything else in their institution.

 

Can't wait for the video where he begs for money to buy a new car and then blows it on lego.

 

Man, him driving cross-country sounds dangerous as hell. Also, he hasn't factored in hotel costs.

I don't know if it's hilarious or just plain sad that I can picture Chris going up to con-goers and being all "CAN YOU GIVE ME MONIES SO I CAN GET SOME STUFF?!?", then acting all indignant and ranting on twitter/facebook about how it was "Kick the Autistic!" when he's thrown out later.

 

At that point I imagine Chris simply going to random tables and grabbing whatever catches his attention while he tries to say a premade speech about how he's entitled to free stuff because of stress and LBGT opression and stuff like that.
Just like that cringy speech about not listening to any male opinin save for his own because of reasons that he tried to use on some mall guards when they asked him to stop loitering and harrasing women.

 

And again, when Chris is escorted out because, well, you know, you can't just take stuff if you have to pay for it, he'll make a whole big rambling speech on facebook or twitter about how "The Con-jerks played kicked the autistic, and were all mean and icky and wouldn't let me have stuff!"

 

He would try to draw attention to the Con part of BronyCon by claiming it's a literal con run by conning men and so for several minutes because Chris cannot stop himself from infodumping.

But now seriously, he would never get to go there because he drives like a granny and loses control whenever anything unexpected happens, so I imagine him having a panic attack after he realizes he has been driving for over a day and he still hasn't arrived to his destination, maybe he would lock himself in his car to scream "HELP! HELP! HELP!" on every social outlet and then spend hours angrily demanding for somebody to go and pick him up until his phone's battery dies.

 

The sad thing is: These are all things that Chris could (and probably would) actually do if he was faced with this situation

 

Chris bought a new car a few years ago so he won't be going in the original Sonchu.

And yeah, the trip would be a disaster - he wouldn't take adequate funds, he'd call AAA for every minor car problem, and he certainly wouldn't give himself enough time, he would leave the day before and get mad when he wasn't there on time. If by some chance he made it he'd act up and tard rage or mace someone.

Tl;dr he wouldn't make it because he has no sense of time or money and if he did he'd probably get arrested for tard raging.
