You might recognize the Super Dictionary from the time Lex Luthor stole forty cakes, but that's actually one of the least interesting parts of the whole thing. I'll be coming at you one letter at a time with the highlights.

A is for...

Accident

Krypto is a fucking idiot, this doesn't look like an accident to me. It looks like he very intentionally charged head first into a tree but regretted it so he tried to play it off as an accident so people wouldn't think he had brain damage.

Add

I'm very proud of Hawkgirl and her supernatural ability to add two numbers once a day. Bit of a cliffhanger though.

Agree

Trying to date a bee is one of the least dumb things involving Atom in this book.

Ajar

The Penguin has a weird fixation with doors in the Super Dictionary, but he's also one of the best parts so you'll probably see a lot of him.

Algae

Writers have always struggled with the problem of finding a real threat to Superman, but for some reason few have considered using algae. Wouldn't you expect Aquaman to be in the entry for algae?

Asleep

Remember to be quiet when you break into someone's house and watch them sleep, especially if you bring all your friends.

Attack

Every single sneezing face in this book is a work of art.

Balloon + Banana

Wonder Woman isn't looking remotely near the giant balloon that is getting away.

Aquaman's obsession with being underwater is starting to affect his diet. Just go to the surface you fucking idiot, it's not like the banana started underwater. You had to bring it down there to begin with.

Basket + Basketball

Robin can't play basketball and is willing to blame everything except himself.

Bee

Hawkgirl can add four and six but can't catch a bee. She might be the most incompetent superhero in the whole book.

Beet

The Joker's potential for villainy is unbounded.

Below

At least he can eat a banana in a cage. Maybe Aquaman should be locked up.

Bend

Superman is insecure about when people mistake him for a bird or plane so he makes sure that nobody else flies when he's around.

Between

Wonder Woman's face looks worse every time she shows up.

Birthday

Now you know why he stole the cakes.

Blow

How can she both be blowing and talking at the same time?

Box

Lois Lane might just be dumber than Hawkgirl.

Break

He's the only one breaking pots but he's like "no don't do it" as if he's trying to talk himself out of some sort of psychotic pot breaking rampage.

Bubble

Superman may have been able to overcome the algae, but how will he fare against a bubble?

Bump

The girl has no remorse about this. This is fine. Everything's fine. Why doesn't Atom just stop shrinking?

Bush

I don't know who this dude is supposed to be but he's fucking gross.

Remember children, sometimes strangers offer you suspicious candy that puts you asleep but you should eat it just like Robin did.

I'm not sure if he just detonated a bomb or is listening to music so loudly Lex can also hear it.

Jimmy has decided to become a toll troll guarding the door. How is he going to pay for anything with a rate that low? And why would anyone want their name on the door? This is a terrible source of income!

Chair

It feels like Batman arrived suddenly and is asking people to be seated for no reason. Maybe he busted a pedophile ring.

Cheerful

Batman doesn't look cheerful at all, this is a terrible example.

I want to know how that asshole even got in there.

Robin would also look weird with a beard so I'm glad he can't grow one.

I'm starting to suspect that this is definitely a sex thing for Atom.

Lex Luthor is a creepy weirdo that watches you comb your hair.

I think Hawkman should be a lot more concerned than curious, but he probably correctly assumed it was just Hawkgirl getting lost while chasing something.

Wonder Woman has a look on her face that suggests she will help all the good people, but not the blacks.

Robin isn't a very safe driver. Remember this for later.

This is a easy mistake to make and I can't blame Batgirl for something we've all done before.

Difference

Hawkgirl can distinguish between mountains and fields with that superhuman perception of hers.

Comet's love for Krypto has been waning lately.

Dirt + Dirty

Batman's getting fucking wrecked by that dirt. He's acting like the Superman just punched him in the jaw.

Dislike

Doctor

Here's the part we learn Penguin only started being a bad guy because of his untreated medical issues.

I don't really understand what Wonder Girl is so I was under the impression she's just Wonder Woman as a kid. Why does she have dolls of her adult friends?

This thief is 100 times more effective than Jimmy Olsen's door toll.

I always thought this was a weird entry because it doesn't tell me anything about the word.

I guess this version makes a bit more sense, I think the Penguin's trying to warn Robin that he just came back from taking a huge shit and the bathroom smells terrible.

Dragon

Maybe this isn't the best place to doubt that dragons exist.

Drift

Aquaman is a fucking jackass. Why would he just drift down the river for no reason and then get his buddy to pull him back.

Robin is not a very good driver, did you remember from before?

Algae, airplanes, and bubbles have been confirmed for bad people.

The Flash has trouble following directions. It comes across as really spiteful like "Oh, so you want me to come over? YOU DIDN'T SAY THROUGH THE DOOR HAHA FUCK YOU I'M A SUPERHERO I DON'T HAVE TIME TO PLAY XBOX."

If only he followed the safety guidelines from the Marvel Superhero Cookbook he wouldn't be in this situation.

Supergirl is clearly trying to seduce this ordinary rat but little does she know that the rat is in a committed relationship with Atom.

Expect

If we've learned anything about Robin so far it's that nobody should expect anything from him.

Wonder Woman has been taken hostage and is about to be executed on TV.

Remember when they specified that dragons were a make believe animal that wasn't real? Turns out fairies are totally legit.

Batman and the Joker are planning another date, I guess the early breakfast was a success.

Firehair's friend looks so gross, I hate it.

Fifty + Fight

Fifty is my favorite entry for a number.

I don't know if Firehair has any powers other than wandering around his reserves and being a stereotype, but if he does he doesn't do anything with them.

I honestly doubt that that car was fixed last week. Maybe he let Robin drive it.

Don't you just want to pat Hawkgirl on the head when she colours inside the lines?

Hawkgirl lives with a small group. Hawkgirl lives with a small number of people in an assisted living facility. They grouped together to watch My Little Pony.

This Superman wouldn't work very well in the new movies.

It looks to me less like he just broke the handle but is just carrying around both the cup and broken handle and is attempting to push them back together.

This is the most intense scene you'll ever see in the Super Dictionary.

What did they hatch just in time for? Was Krpyto about to eat the eggs if they didn't hatch that second?
