I can't imagine Bob did a great job of differentiating Yugoslavian countries from Eastern Bloc countries during the Cold War era in the 50s, 60s, and 70s either.

To be honest I still think even today Chris doesn't have a great understanding of LGBT issues at all. He has maybe the understanding of them that a 4th grader who watches the news with their parents does, at best.

The "Classic Chris" days may seem like they lasted a while (or at least it seems that way to me), and yet they really only lasted from around the mid '00s to 2010-ish. Only about 5 years. These current "sagas" with CWC as a "tomgirl" have been going for about 15 years now -- or roughly 3 times longer than the "Classic Chris" days.

 

Still lasted longer than the Confederacy.

 

Yeah, it kinda makes me think of, basically any fucking series ever.

We all remember and associate things with the earliest examples or the first thing pop culture latched onto, even if that doesn't reflect how that is or how it evolved overtime.

Pokemon's a good example with Pop Culture homages and spoofs by the mainstream largely focusing on how ineffectual Team Rocket is, how terrible of a character Ash is, and how stupid it is Pokemon just say their name. Even though these are things largely associated with the anime, and in the actual games not only was Team Rocket only the antagonist of two games with them only coming back for Nostalgic Throwbacks, they were treated as a serious threat and were said to have actually killed in the pursuit of rare Pokemon.

We all know about The Ring, about how a young girl pushed down a well calls you on the phone if you watch her VHS tape, then crawls out of the TV to kill you 7 days later?

But only fans and people who actually analyze it know that Sadako is actually 19, not a child as pop-culture seems to think, and calling you on the phone to say "Seven Days!" was largely an invention of the American film; it did happen in the Japanese original but only once, in a specific location, and wasn't really repeated; just an oddity mistaken for a regularity to add a level of "Urban Legend Uncertainty" to the tape's mystery.

And that's just the first movie, what happens later down the line?
Sadako has a functioning girldick that she uses to fuck people with to cause her own rebirth and later migrates from a tape to a journal to the fucking Matrix in a series of escalations that cause the end of the world.

Hell most people don't even realize Sadako isn't even called Sadako in the version that most people outside of Japan have watched if they've watched anything related to the franchise, because in the American Movie she's called Samara. (If I had to guess why? A combination of it being the late 90's, meaning Anti-Asian Xenophobic sentiment in America is on its last legs meaning "Sadako can be asian, but not TOO asian! So let's just call her something else and say she was adopted by white people!", that and some jackass writer with his cock in his hand thinking "Samara sounds like Samsara, and the ring is a circle, like the Cycle of Reincarnation! We're so clever!"

But what they do know is "tape, 7 days, phone call."

This even works backwards if pop culture latches onto the middle part of something, rather than the beginning. See: "Every Friday the 13th movie has Jason in a hockey mask played by Kane Hodder!" and "Chun-Li, Blanka, M.Bison, E.Honda, Guile, Zangief, Dhalsim... You know, the basic cast of the first Street Fighter game!"

My point is, Christorians don't yell "JULAAAAAY!" when they see Chris-Chan, because we know that was long ago and very specific to one instance. Weens do because they don't know shit about Chris outside of what they've been told, and something they haven't been told is "This documentary is 500 more hours long, sit your ass down unless you're grabbing a snack or some shit."

Classic Chris is what we think of as the "default', because it's the only thing the wider cultural zeitgeist recognizes as Chris-Chan.

 

But seriously, it's a good point that first impressions can define how a subject is perceived. How that lolcow was for half a decade defines to quite a number how he's perceived. Striped clown shirts, the Medallion of Fail, the "Attraction Location" thing with the signs, the "JULAY" thing: that's (mostly) all of the past now, yet it's "normal" to think of CWC being that.

She then blackmails Ando: in exchange for not activating the dormant ring virus that he contracted when he read Kazuyuki's journal, he would refrain from stopping it from being published. As an incentive, Sadako, who has the ability to clone a person by implanting their genes into her, will birth his deceased son, Takanori, back to life. Realizing that Sadako would win no matter what he does, Ando reluctantly cooperates.

Indeed, I guess it goes hand in hand with the old saying that I'm going to paraphrase. "You make 500 horse shoes and fuck one goat, and you are remembered as a goatfucker, not a horseshoe maker."

Though when you realize this, it's not terribly hard to see why so many SJW/Woke Mob/Twitter people think of him as a "Transgirl Webcomic unfairly bullied."

If you look at Chris now and then sort of glance at who he was for a half-decade from afar; Chris can look like someone who had a rough go of things on the early internet, kept his nose clean for the most part, and trolls wouldn't let it go. Which isn't completely untrue (Trolls not letting it go), but also still bullshit (Chris has kept nothing, not even his nose, clean, for any period of time, ever)

There is still a lot of misinformation about Chris, I've ran into plenty in my circles who genuinely believe Chris never raped Barbara, that Isabella made it all up for a gag, and Chris actually spent two years in jail over it thanks to a combination of incompetent police work and America playing "Kick the Autistic"

Which is the narrative that modern Chris White Knights the "Woke Twitter SJW People" seems to believe.
