Thank you for opening up about your experiences, I am happy that you finally figured yourself out.

But yeah, I think a lot of times with me having autism, I often get into the trap that I am "supposed to" do something in order to be happy and a functioning member of society or have a good relationship, etc. because I don't really have any sort of idea or about what is acceptable and not acceptable to live your life and I am so used to trying to learn social skills and try my best to model what others do in order to fit in (even though I totally suck at masking so I can never do so).

An example of this is that I remember planning my wedding I was really overwhelmed because there was all of this etiquette I had to follow but at the same time people were like "It's your wedding, do what you want" so that always really confused me whenever someone told me that something was a bad idea and I shouldn't do it because they would also at the same time say "It's your wedding do what you want" finally someone explained to me, that you can do what you want as long as the guests are comfortable and well fed. I wish I heard it when I started wedding planning because that would have made it so much easier and not make me worry too much about the "supposed tos"

 

I also have the autism, and honestly at times neurotypicals creep me the fuck out sometimes. It's like, how the fuck do they know all this social etiquette without it being explained to them? With such mastery that they clock us as "defective" for not being apart of this strange telepathic hivemind. It is straight up some Children of the Corn shit.

 

It comes from being able to "read the room", "read between the lines", and subtle non-verbal communication.

It's like how one can shop at a store and pick up on all those details of how shopping is supposed to work.

True, but at the same time, Barbara has a history of being weirdly sexual and open around Chris. I really wouldn't be surprised to learn she groomed him and it went horribly right.

Not saying she deserved it (being molested by your own son is one of the darker fates I can imagine for someone), but I'm also not saying it wasn't the consequence of her own actions.

 

It's amazing how out-of-touch with reality that lolcow was when he thought by derping around in a McDonald's and getting ever fatter, one day a hot "boyfriend free" supermodel will just stroll in, approach him out of the blue, ask to go out with him, and then he lives happily ever after while being waited on by "Barb 2.0".

Remember when they thought Shigeru Miyamoto wanted to make a Sonichu game, and it never occoured to Bob, an engineer for GE with several patents to his name, never thought it was odd that a company as rich and famous as Nintendo would not pay for a client of a business deal they were allegedly desperate for?

How many clients for GE did he hear about getting wined and dined with big shots?

 

True, except for the part that he was actively involved in helping Chris argue with "Miyamoto" in that saga, you'd think he'd just tell Chris the reason why this is bullshit and then sit back down to die in peace.
