Yeah this is against Ebay's listing policy as well. Wouldn't it be just hilarious if his Grand Prize Winner reported him to Ebay for this instead?

 

No. I've been tracking the sales here (sales as a whole under Bob's Collection and the raffle as well). Either way, he lost hundreds of dollars. Not even selling the stamp album at its current $500 price will salvage it now.

 

Why did he ever think this was a good idea? Having a "3 for 2" would've been much smarter, then the ones who collect stamps would be happy and he wouldn't be paying money.
Oh wait, I forgot he has dementia.

Maybe his health has deteriorated to that level. Considering his lifestyle yada yada. I'm guessing since he's ignorant to the real reason he's just parroting what Barb is saying - which is probably the case since it's likely Barb has some sort of manifestation of dementia considering her age and health.

All we know for certain is that Chris now has another word he can put in place of "stress" when he whines about why he hasn't bothered with his latest project.

 

This is why the whole stamp raffle fiasco is so intriguing to me. It's already difficult to connect the bizarre leaps of logic that motivate Chris to do the things that he does, but this raffle is one giant contradiction. It's more than the unanswered question of why Chris thought this was a good idea in the first place. It's the fact that Chris went through with it after seeing how much Lego money it would cost him. He could have said "fuck it" at any point and no one would be surprised. So why the importance?

The only theory I've come up with that holds any merit is the fact that the large majority of the prizes are effigies to Chris himself. The only prizes that are not Skysona related are the two Son-Chu Transformers. Sending out the prizes will feed his ego because it cements - in his head - the idea that people are playing games as him, voluntarily wearing what he thinks is a replica of himself on their bodies, and placing plastic totems of his lesbian soul-ed transwoman "persona" on their dashboards. It's like the withered old deities in American Gods who leech off of whatever bit of worship they can find because, once forgotten, they'll cease to exist. Chris needs to feel important, to feel worshiped, in order to assign meaning to his rapidly deteriorating life. Hence why he dropped $750 on a pointless raffle.

It also made the stamp sales less about Bob and more about himself, but that's just par for the course.

 

Or maybe he has realized that Crystal isn't happening so this is his demented way to replace her. That is, since there will be no Crystal, at least he can spread himself/his genes this way.

 

Combined with a lack of financial sense. He probably thinks that because the bigger youtubers, or even more likely Big corporations like Sega and McDonald's, can did giveaways, he can do giveaways. However he doesn't understand that for a giveaway to work, it has to generate interest in your product. If Chris were still doing Sonichu or had a youtube show, it would make sense, but he doesn't so it doesn't

 

What are the odds Chris doesn't understand the jokes he rips off? Pretty good you think?

 

You know I think you've hit the nail right on the head. Reality is slowly closing in on Chris. There's no Crystal in his future. There's no sweetheart coming to save him. His Sonichu "franchise" has failed to get him the fame and money he thought it would, but despite it all he still clings to the delusion that people still care about him, that he's still famous because he created Sonichu and Rosechu. It's the only big one he's got left and he's doing everything he can to try and validate it.

It's like he's in a tower that's slowly crumbling around him, but instead of trying to escape he's desperately surrounding himself with the rubble as a means of trying to convince himself that the tower is perfectly fine.

 

A true Shakespearean-grade tragedy...

Still, we got plenty of lulz out of it.
