Who was that dude that literally dug through Chris' garbage to find some of the Relics of Fail? I remember at the time that he got some Troll points for doing it (a good portion of them being from weens), but that the more logical people called him out for being creepy and weird.

 

And for having a MLP avatar and username.
Edit: never mind. I was thinking of an entirely different ween. They really start to blend together, the more I think about it.

Back OT - Bluespike is essentially solid proof that all children from 6th-grade to 9th-grade are the absolute worst, and they should be to boarding school and isolated from the rest of society until they come of age.

 

A harsh truth of human development is that there is nothing simultaneously more innocent and yet also so cruel as a child. There has been a great deal written about the subject as to the why (one leading theory is the hormones peak in the early teen years or before while the human pre-frontal cortex which regulates impulse control, attention, logical reasoning and risk management doesn't develop until the late teens or even as late as the mid-twenties), but the plain fact that it's true that young teens and "tweens" tend to be abnormally cruel to each other is well known.

I was a teacher at one point, and I can tell you one thing about young teens: they can smell weakness from a mile away, and have a great need to find others who are weaker than them to prey on in various ways, and if you can get one over on an adult or authority figure, all the better. Classic Chris-chan was a perfect target: gullible, pathetic, laughable and much older who should know better.

This is how I view Bluespike, a young man at an awkward time of his life who was presented too perfect of an opportunity to just be a real douche-nozzle, but I would not hold it against him. He was too young at the time to really understand what he was doing and why, and probably deeply regretful of it by now that he has a better perspective. At least I hope so.

 

I wonder what the media would say if BlueSpike grew up to be a serial killer or something. Or, more likely, if a killer or a rapist admitted (falsely) to being BlueSpike. I imagine both sides of the spectrum would jump on that story.

 

I think the media would have some trouble understanding just what the BlueSpike/Julie saga actually was.

 

Yeh, but that's what makes the idea interesting. You could just tell that the media will only focus on certain details, with the main detail being that "BlueSpike is a sociopath who at a very young age manipulated a mentally disabled man and forced him to shove a broken ceramic medallion up his butt."

 

Oh and also the mentally disabled guy was a brave and special trans woman who heroically endured abuse and harassment against her every day from evil trolls who are also GamerGaters, of which BlueSpike was a community idol.

 

I think mainstream media would have a hard time understanding any of this. Shit, have you tried explaining to normies what the whole Chris Chan experience is about?

 

I think we all have at one point. I once showed a classroom the front page of the Cwcki and tried my best to explain it. They didn't get it.
