I recently watched a training video from Ames in 2000, it is strangely optimistic and really trying hard to hide the fact that Ames is failing (it went out of business in 2002). I never actually been to an Ames, I just know them from their training videos and stuff. Department stores are going the way of the dodo these days it seems. The only advantage they really have with online shopping is being able to touch and try on the products before buying them and that you don't have to wait for them to be shipped to you.
