8/25 - Open letter on using dear and darling

Chris is annoyed at Twitter user TheLady for calling him out on using "dear" in a previous tweet to her.

 

God he's dense.

 

Oh he is going to get more disrespectful responses as this drags on.

 

Ponies have ruined Chris' life (even more so).

 

My fictional characters like when I call them dear. Hmpf!

He's digging himself a hole no doubt

his responses on twitter actually made me vocalize "God damn" because he seemed to do a 180 in terms of personality and now is trying to defend his creepiness

 

Tallulah Bankhead is rolling over in her grave...that this 35 year old moron is using her name to justify his behavior. I'd like to see someone slap the shit out of Chris and be like "well James Cagney did it".

 

Jesus, it's like you literally have to break it down into the most simplistic terms for Chris, and yet he still doesn't get it:

It's fucking creepy when guys call women things like "dear" "darling" or "cutie" when they don't know the guy. It's really not rocket science...

 

unfortunately for Chris, social norms tend to be up there with rocket science in terms of being difficult to comprehend.

I have to admit I love seeing Chris dig himself into a hole and then get called out... and then dig himself into a deeper hole.

She was an actress from the 30s/40s. The only things I can remember that she was in are Lifeboat and a guest role on the 60s Batman. Pretty random actress to base your "style" on I think.

 

Well, Chris *does* consider Red Skelton among one of his many "idols", so this really isn't terribly shocking...
