Oh, totally. Honestly, the one character I want to have actually show up is her father. Not all these pointless characters like some doctor Marina knew a long time ago. I mean, seriously, he basically abandoned his kid. (Though I can't exactly blame him because it's Marina.)

 

I still headcanon that the reason why he dumped her off at Mickey's is because he knew she was a Mary Sue from birth.

Marina Seadrift is like a drug. An incredibly lengthy drug. If you guys are doing a full-on riff, then I'd be glad to lend a hand (on a side note, I do have a riff of Darkness Arising, one of three fanfictions spawned by FotH)

Her dad is probably the only character that could potentially have some sort of complex relationship with Marina that's more than just 'lol they're on an adventure together'. I'm surprised we haven't seen any of him, or the Terran empire at all hardly.

Thank you, DF. We needed an entire paragraph to know what these iconic characters are wearing. Maybe I'm being nitpicky (I am), but why are you wasting time dressing? (Especially with what we know of Marina.) You guys are supposed to be booking it to Merlin's.

Basically the advice Marina should have taken for the rest of the fic. Also, why is she defending him? She barely knows Silver outside of his reputation as a pirate. She has no reason to think he's innocent at all in this, especially with his timely arrival.

Also, this is the court magician (DF may not have given him that title in her knockoff of KH but that's effectively what he is so fuq u) and the queen's lady-in-waiting arguing like children. When they're supposed to be taking this seriously. And they're being sent off to stop the nightmares why?

Obviously stretching to make Donald look like the bad guy here, when... really, his suspicions aren't unfounded. His attitude isn't either. Silver may be serving the Terran Empire now, but his past as a notorious pirate isn't so easily erased.

Oh come on. Goofy's a... er... goof, but he's not a braindead retard. How can he get THAT wrong?

"But aside from that, he's completely trustworthy and we shouldn't be worried about him lying to us or anything. I'm a great king!"

While Mickey is right to rebuke Donald for harping on this when the have important business (and yeah, he IS the king so he gets to make the call on Silver's fate), Donald isn't wrong for stating that. It's highly suspicious and they know for a fact that Silver is not to be trusted on his word, given his reputation.

And when she saw Marina's she screamed and vanished. Some things were never meant to be seen.

"Save yours, Marina, you overgrown brat. Perhaps you could not be an impudent twat?"

Hm, what a strange prophecy! I wonder what it mean--

You know, if knowing what it means could -- I dunno -- save all the worlds, maybe stop being a prick and let him explain? Let him give them a lead at least.

Assholemedes has a point, though.

And then Archimedes gets proven right many chapters later after they've since accomplished fuck all.

That's a useless bit of trivia and all, but don't you guys have nightmares to fight and a prophecy to decipher?

Or you could NOT do any of this. That's an option.

Once the light had absorbed the vitriolic team into the pages, Merlin closed the book shut and returned it to its proper place, never to be disturbed again. "Now, King Mickey, about this prophecy..."

If the fic/DF had an iota of competence, I would say it's because as a "dark" faerie she can rule everyone more easily. She obviously has a form of control over the Not-Heartless, so using them to make the worlds to her liking as she conquered them would be some kind of goal. Or maybe she just wants good old revenge, since there's this mention of Yen Sid (an old nemesis?) and faeries are notorious for invoking curses and the like for even the smallest of offenses -- it's even canon for Maleficent.

Buuuuuut because the fic is what it is, it's probably just generic "evil stuff because."

 

I have nothing to contribute besides an extra bottle for you guys in thanks of grabbing the best parts of each chapter to riff, because I've tried time and time again to read the fanfic but found myself repeating a line over and over until I realized it. I had liked Disneyfan101's thread on KF but never could keep up with it much because there were so many chapters I missed out on and characters I've never heard of so I got a glimpse of some of the comics with Marina and Silver and about lost my lunch.

Anyways, I'll probably lurk here because I enjoy this charming little train wreck of a story. Don't burn yourselves out over all 80 chapters, friends.

Uh.... I don't recall Pooh ever introducing himself as Pooh Bear. I could be wrong here though. Other characters, like Piglet, call him that, but I don't recall Pooh himself doing so.

Firstly, I forgot that even back here in chapter 5 Marina treated anyone younger than her (in this case, mentally) like children even if she acknowledges they're adults in their own society. Patronizing bitch.
Secondly, Donald has a point. You guys really don't have time for this shit.

When Donald is the most rational person in this scene... No, really. We're supposed to think Marina is the sane one, but while they're fucking around in here who knows what's going on in the real world. They know the Nightmares are coming.
