Personally I hate the recent trend of shitting all over the title of "princess" in order to jump on the feminist bandwagon of bashing the trend and aesthetic Disney has been profiting off of because it's popular with girls anyway. Just dig in your heels and admit that you love princesses, Disney, there's nothing shameful about it!

Especially because said pressure group is a legit paper tiger. They'll watch it regardless due to being womenchildren, are a money sink to advertise at, and anything they have pushed on purpose has failed.

When Disney makes princesses, it's problematic. When Sailor Moon does it, it's empowering.

I think the way they handled it as a self-depreciating joke in Moana was funny, if only because Dwayne Johnson's delivery and the joke's timing was good, but when they did it in Frozen or even technically in Wreck-It Ralph, it felt a bit more mean-spirited than needed. If Disney wants to poke fun of the princess genre, they can do that if they so wish, it's just something they can't keep doing to push a feminist agenda, or any agenda for that matter.

There is this strange double standard Internet SJWS and the likes have towards Western animation...
Frozen has female characters who are stick-thin and have huge pretty eyes; body-shaming! Girls will grow with body image issues!!
Sailor Moon has female characters who are stick-thin and have huge pretty eyes; uhhhhh... nothing to say here! It's their culture!

    *Sigh*

I still dream of a world where Tangled is called Rapunzel, Frozen is called The Snow Queen and are in 2D.

That's just typical of anime anyway.
