    I was kinda expecting some kerfuffle about chris bringing the bat to the courtroom.

    Apparently chris is smart enough not to bring it in with him. I'm a little surprised.

    So how does Chris manage to get so many continuances with each trial? What exactly is he doing once a court date comes up? Is he not showing up? Is he shitting his pants in the courtroom so the judge sends him back home? Don’t they put limits on continuances?

    I swear, it’s pretty much become a running gag that every run in with the law involves 15 continuances before he gets an anti-climactic slap on the wrist. He could use the sidewalk as a racetrack on one bad day, and he’ll somehow delay the courts to the next geological epoch.

    My only experience with the judicial system is just me making up silly, blatantly false excuses to weasel out of jury duty, so please enlighten me with your lawyering devilry.

    Short of murdering someone in the middle of the banquet hall of the annual Policeman’s Ball, I’m pretty sure Chris will only ever get slaps on the wrist for his misdemeanors, unless Virginia has a three-strikes rule.

    As far as I know, after all the continuances, witchcraft will happen, and the judge will rule “Knock that shit off.” Chris will go back to whatever it is he does in his mundane life, until some other Idea tard comes along and talks him into getting arrested again.

    Since chris is being charged with minor stuff, vehicular assault aside, most courts give people time to prepare a defense for the case. Or if they are smart and have not blown there tugboat on Legos and vidya, they have time for there attorney to get a defense set up or a plea deal.
    My guess for chris getting away with constant slaps on the wrist is that he gets before judges that pity him with the autistic card, or realize he is a dumbass.

    I am about as knowledgable of the legal system as the average joe, but is it a stretch to think the court system in Albemarle is just incompetent instead of lenient on him?

    at this point I can imagine chris getting a call from his Lionel Hutz-style lawyer while playing a game and chris just barks; 'Already? Just get it continued again, I'm busy.'
