What comics are you reading?

I actually tried before I did my spider-man full read through. Yeah the parts about him becoming a teacher in an inner city school, and suddenly being black for a few issues were cringe worthy.
As for the modern Punisher...well that's why as a rule I won't read past 2014 or so in any title of Marvel's. Between shit like that and having a black lives matter comic they're a shitty parody of what they used to be. They may as well change their name to SocJus comics and be done with it.
Luckily there are a whole lot of great older titles to read (6 sd cards full, in my case), and they can't take that away from us.

I was digging through a box and found my copy of Superman Red Son. It is a really good "What if" read of Superman being found in the Ukraine and raised by Stalin.

The Green Lanter Marine Corp is an idea that D.C. should run with.

 

Good lord early Punisher is hard to get through. Even cheesy ass early Daredevil was better, and he fought enemies like the matador...It'll seem better tomorrow when I can get stoned hopefully.

Lol, I remember that feel.
I think I got through the first 100 or so then just gave up and only read a few recommended stories.
Frank needs a top quality author or he just turns into a mindless thug or a gadget boy, you really need someone who can do the over the top dark humour to get him to work.
Having said that, the Punisher stories that do work are some of the best written.

 

Around 100 was about where I gave up the first time, but damn it my autism is strong enough to let me power through it this time. Welcome Back Frank is my favorite storyline. I hated that they bastardized parts of it for the first movie (which otherwise was decent).

 

Fond my copy of Archie meets the Punisher last night, always good for a laugh.

I'm so fucking happy to have genuine 90s Aliens comics, even if they are battered.

 

Well, I'm reading my copy of Action Comics #1. It's a good thing it's in near-perfect condition so it's pretty easy to read. The other 8 copies I found at garage sales in my neighbourhood were in decent condition, give or take a tear here and a stain there.

I found a Garth Ennis story I'd never heard of ,A Train Called Love, and it's the funniest fucking thing I've read in years, can't stop giggling.
I won't bother trying to explain the story, it's pure Ennis madness at it's best.

 

Re reading Punishe Born. Have used the phrase "Give me the sixty" twice today while in traffic.

 

Are the newer frank miller batman books any good? I loved the dark knight returns, but i can't find any of the sequels in the used book store I tend to get my comics from
