Most Star Wars and Star Trek movies - Empire Strikes Back and Wrath of Khan are my favorite of the bunch - Nemesis and Episode II are my least favorite
The Jurassic Park movies, especially the original, which is the best IMHO
The Indiana Jones movies, esp. The Last Crusade - I don't really care for Crystal Skull, but it's still OK
Napoleon Dynamite (silly, but enjoyable)

Among my many beloved movies are:

* Pirates of the Caribbean (but only the first one)

...never realized what a strong pirate theme there was to that, since one of my favorite animated TV series was FOX's Peter Pan and the Pirates and One Piece is one of my favorite Japanimation series.

 

I always have trouble making a top-five for anything but video games, but I can safely say that Army of Darkness is my all-time favourite movie, with Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and American Psycho tailing right behind it.

 

Gotta be Porco Rosso. Also here for Mask of the Phantasm, and Jackie Brown, and The Prestige, and on further consideration, probably The Great Beauty most of all.

 

In no order: There Will Be Blood, Alien, 22 jump street, Akira. And Rouge One was really good.

 

In no particular order:
-Star Wars OT + TFA and RO. I still have a certain fondness for the PT and some of it's elements since I grew up with that shit, but the more I mature the more I realize it's faults. Still, they're not as crappy as some people make them to be, they're mostly mediocre in comparison.

-Interestellar (Although the ending was kinda meh and need to rewatch it since only watched it once on the tiny screen of a plane seat)

Pretty mainstream, I know, but I'm not that much of a film junkie.
Also I'd relly appreciate suggestions on good quality Sci-Fi, mostly things with an underlying intellectual content and utopian/dystopian stuff, currently I'm hooked with Asimov's Foundation novels and I'd love to watch something in that vein. I also enjoyed things like Brave New World and the 2001 novel.
