During the 1970s and 1980s Turkey made several ripoffs of popular western franchises. The most infamous being "Turkish Star Wars" AKA Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam/ The Man Who Saved The World which incorporated footage and music from A New Hope. There's also "Turkish Spiderman" AKA 3 Dev Adam/Three Mighty Men (in which Captain America and El Santo team up to defeat a psychopathic Spiderman with huge eyelashes). "Turkish Superman" AKA Supermen Donuyor/The Return of Superman (in which Superman is more like Clark Kent in a Superman costume who has a weakness to wooden chairs). "Turkish Batman" AKA Yarasa Adam/ The Bat Man (in which Batman and Robin abuse women and use guns). "Turkish Flash Gordon" AKA Aytekin Fezada Carpisanlar/Flash Gordon's Space Battle (in which Flash saves the universe with a laser-shooting bra), and more.
Can we include other foreign mockbusters (Korean Batman, Italian Jaws) or weird foreign movies that had unlicensed crossovers (The Dragon Lives Again) as well? Plus there's the occasional foreign adaptation that was licensed but sure as fuck felt like a foreign mockbuster (looking at you, Japanese Spider-Man)
Oooh, we should include that one North Korean Godzilla bootleg that was directed by a South Korean film maker against his will after the North Korean government kidnapped him and his wife. And yes, that actually happened.
Don't forget Korean Tron. Fun Fact: This shit was used in Space Thunder Kids and the bad guy had a better sounding voice.
