The Asylum: Your Home for Mockbusters and SyFy Original Movies

I agree, but isn't that majority of sequels that are some sort of comedy or really any film? They usually have to go bigger and better, but that many times takes away from the charm of what the original had. I can't blame them for trying to cash in on their surprise new cashcow, though. They even inspired a slew of other new campy shark films, one of which involved a mechanical shark that began communicating through twitter. That one was -amazing-.

Also Ghost Shark was probably my favorite of the imitators

 

Toxic Avenger vs Sharknado. I imagine both Troma and Asylum would be cool with making that movie.

 

Speaking of imitators, my brother worked for one called "Dark Haul", I think it aired only once on Syfy and got a sleepy DVD release from Shout! Factory. My brother's crowning achievement was getting to drive this semi with HIS name on it (the red one)!

 

Lol, the manko thing made me laugh when I first heard it, especially with the fact that Chris would pronounce it in that weird high-pitched thing. I will admit that I couldn't sit through the initial readings because they were too dull, but the third and fourth videos were actually kind of watchable as he started to get a little more into the story.

Personally, I kind of wish that he would have gotten to the 'Get-better kisses' chapter before he stopped. That was the chapter after a number of main characters died, and it was the chapter where things took a bit of a turn for the worst as an innocent character who had no idea of the concept of death (part of this story was a Growing Around parody) basically tries to make a dead character "wake up". I think that would have been fun to have Chris read.
