Reliving Christmas 2004 with the Chandlers

This is one of my favorite Chris videos. Not only is it cringey and hilarious but it’s also incredibly creepy and bizarre. You get to see the strange dynamic of the autistic man child and his elderly parents as he acts like an immature 7 year old. There are a lot of great (for all the wrong reasons) Christmas moments captured here. What’s your favorite?

These videos make me want to forgive Bob of any and all sins he's committed. That poor, poor man

 

When the "Yep, I'm on TV" DVD leaked, Chris said he was grateful that he had the foresight to not include the Christmas Director's Cut. Most people dismissed it as a lie, a means for Chris to save face in the midst of another troll conning him. This was one of the big "gets" of the Catherine Saga, and like all of the other content it produced, this was just fucking sad and miserable.

 

What about that bit where Catherine dug around in Chris's underwear drawer, pulled out some pink and lacy lingerie, then asked Chris about why it was there in front of Barb. Thus, embarrassing Chris in front of his mother and resulting in an awkward conversation once Catherine left the house.

I may be remembering that wrong.

God Bless Bob, you can tell even back then, before all of Chris' internet infamy, where literally every stupid, derpy thing he did was documented, that Bob just had this deep seeded look of "Oh for fuck's sake Chris...." with everything his son did....

 

I feel like Bob probably had some old school parenting ideas that most likely would've straightened Chris out or at least would've derailed the madness a little but he was too old to fight Barb's influence. Especially by Chris's early 20s. He was too old and tired and Chris was already too far gone.

 

Yeah, I feel like if Bob had been about 20-25 years younger, he probably would have had the strength to fight back at Barb and just been like "Let *me* handle this.....". I don't think he would have made Chris completely derpy free, but a 20-25 years younger Bob probably could have helped curb Chris a little bit.

 

Given Bob's history with his previous children, it's likely a good thing he was too old and tired to use his "old school parenting ideas" on Chris'tard.
