    I like this song. I remember the Barlow Girl's big thing is that they refused to date, rather they would devote themselves fully to God and a husband will somehow show up in their lives. Of the three, one of them is married, I don't know about the other two and whether or not they still follow that.

    I just don't know how it works, like, how do you not find a husband if you aren't putting yourself out there? Infact, the whole courting practice is actually historically speaking very new, like, 80s new, most people before then dated and kissed before marriage, even back in the 18th, 19th centuries kissing was fine. It was literally a backlash to the growing teen pregnancy rates that churches did which are actually decreasing now (now everyone is complaining teens and young adults aren't having ENOUGH sex, seriously, people just can't win!)

    I despise and avoid most religious music, the only exceptions are if they meet my specific personal tastes. Praise and worship music is the biggest reason I don't go to church, even if I'm willing to listen to the sermon.That said, occasionally a Christian group (most commonly Catholic) will put actual artistry into their sound and it makes their music likeable.



    I also like the sound of Gregorian chants and like hearing them incorporated into other music.

    I should have been more specific. I hate Christian praise/worship music. The kind of dated "contemporary" shit you hear in most American churches. Other religions put cultural sounds in their music and it's beautiful.



    Jewish music for example is pleasant to listen to.
