With how slim of a chance there is of getting away without at least one felony charge, would prison actually be a better option for him? As bad as prison will be, he will have three meals a day and a roof over his head. Will he still be able to get his benefits if he has a felony? As grim as his job prospects were before, he will 100% be unhireable after this.

It's also why there's a lot of meta/"Chris is a character invented to troll the trolls" theories out there. It's almost TOO much well-crafted fail. I haven't ruled out that Chris is an alterego that Andy Kaufman has been living as after his alleged "death" lol.

 

He'll most likely be homeless and have to register as a sex offender, banning him from all the places he used to creep on girls hang out.

 

I don't think being a felon stops the tugboat. Big problem is whether he can keep the house when Barb dies.

 

I think if one is convicted and in prison long enough, the tugboat stops arriving at the port.

 

I doubt it because of how much debt the Chandlers have.

 

To be clear, I don't think you get a tugboat when you're in prison. After time is served and he's back on the streets though I think he can still collect SSI (not sure about this).

 

My former housemate is on probation for felony charges, and he lost his disability. He is a veteran though, so there may be different rules for him.

 

The tugboat is for disability and is entitled to chris via his father's social security retirement benefits. chris should have lost his ability to collect his tugboat since he has been in jail for so long.

If the payments have not stopped then all the money collected since he has been incarcerated must be paid back before he can get more benefits. If the payments have stopped then chris must reapply for his benefits from the social security administration.

Without barb or anyone else to help him, I do believe his application will be rejected for chris fucking up the application.

I imagine it was a fluke that happened once, like it happened to be an easy semester.

 

high school isn't particularly hard
all you have to do is do the homework and then do well on the test, and the tests are often based on the homework, to get a decent grade
the teachers spoon feed you everything you need to know
at my high school a 3.5 GPA was honor roll
it was doable for Chris if Bob was making him do his homework and study for tests

 

Is it actually confirmed that he was on the honor roll? Like, I thought it was just a lie that Chris told. We've seen his homework. I find it hard to believe.
