I think about this a lot, but in what way has Chris impacted your life? I feel like so many relationships and friendships wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Chris. I know my current marriage wouldn't have happened without Chris and I made a lot of friends including a lot of them I have met IRL and done stuff together with as a result of following Chris.

It is just amazing to think how an autist can touch so many people's lives. What about you guys?

I could've been posting on some other forums if Chris wasn't around.

Oops I'll give a serious answer.

If Chris and Sonichu hadn't existed, I would've likely been a super cringe deviantart user ( until I got out of highschool ) or a religious tumblr user ( or god forbid a super twitterite ). Thanks to Chris I'm super cautious and self critical about the things I make and how I act. I try to be avoid being terminally online like Chris was. So I guess you could say Chris saved me from being fullblown cringe like Chris was. I ain't no talented artist or anything but Chris is what encouraged me to avoid just bullshitting on things like Chris did. Chris' cringe behavior was like life lessons on how to not act in general. Chris is why I'm self critical at times and to be honest I think it kept me from being a waste to society.

Can't say I would've been super cringe if Chris didn't exist but I would've probably had less laughs as a kid if Chris didn't exist. Honestly I unapologetically enjoyed how genuinely awful Sonichu was as a kid. I knew it was bad but god was it funny and still makes me laugh to this day as an adult with friends. Though, I really don't think I wouldn't have met people if Chris didn't exist. That's the only things I can say?

Seems just a few years ago, no one used that word except to refer to a physical reaction. I think "cringe" is overused too much now, to the point where it seems people can be afraid of being unique lest they're "cringe".

On the other hand, there can be being too unique - to the point where one becomes a freak like "Chris Chan"...

I guess you could say Chris taught me about organized trolling, autism, and the legal system
and I spent countless hours on KF and its predecessors tracking the antics of CWC and other lolcows

I said and did a lot of cringy stuff online as a teenager, I think we all did, but when I discovered Chris in my late teens, it definitely made me more mindful of what I post online. The community also really hammered in the importance of using different usernames for every account you have, especially if you are posting stuff that you don't want to be linked back to you and your other accounts. Luckily I did most of that for the most part

There used to be a saying. 'On the internet, nobody knows you're a dog'.
Sadly that seems to be out the window these days.
I'm pretty sensitive about my personal information and appreciate that nobody here NEEDS to know any of that stuff.

*sigh* I don't want to feel like a boomer. I'm younger than most of you and have only known about Chris since 2016.
Still, this story reminds me whenever I lose faith in myself, I'm no saint, but at least I'm not currently in jail for 'soul-bonding' with my mother.

I still follow the '90s way of "don't dox yourself" online.

I miss when that was the norm.

Personally the main impact for me was just my vocabulary, a lot of CWC-isms ("TRUE and HONEST", "china", "gal-pals", "tugboat") have made their way into my daily language and I sometimes need to remind myself that not everybody will understand what I mean.

But I know for a lot of people it means way more than that. People got married because of Chris. Children exist in this world because of Chris. What a thought.

It made me realize how easily information control can be manipulated to control human thought and emotion. Chris's life is what The Truman Show would be if it were written by Hideo Kojima.

My usual description for Christory is that it's a Shakespearian tragedy if Shakespeare had used crack.

I met a lot of my best friends through loose interest in Chris Chan.
I have also been extra careful to not admit to pooping myself in public.

I think I might have mentioned this before, but I always think it would be hilarious to make a Chris version of It's a Wonderful Life, but the question would be who would be Mr. Potter in his life?

When I first heard of Chris, I wanted to avoid being a jobless NEET who lived with his parents and getting fat. Now though, there's nothing wrong with living in your parents home, especially with how rents expensive while wages are shit. If anything with Chris changing my life in terms of now, it's knowing just how one should be careful online. Sure attitudes may change and all and people can say how we should be ourselves on the internet without trolls or whatever but even then, somethings are TMI and others one wants to mention should be with friends and like-minded people but even that can go south if someone was pissy enough to put people on a shitlist.

When I'm alone and suffer some minor inconvenience (dropping a pen, forgetting something that implies walking back to the room I just came from, etc.) sometimes I perform an overdramatic Chris-like stress-sigh as an inside joke to myself.

Oh, and on that video when he dry shaved his goatee like an idiot, he kept running his hand through it to check if it was a close shave. I never thought of doing that, and it finds rough spots you can miss by just looking at the mirror, so I adopted it for myself. So, yeah, I LEARNED SOME BASIC HYGIENE FROM CHRIS OF ALL PEOPLE, shame on me.
