Have you ever met someone who behaves like Chris?

There are plenty of Chris Chans out there, so have you ever met anyone who acts similar to Chris?
EDIT: They don't need to be exactly like Chris Chan. They just need to have a few similarities

do you mean an adult who had interests in kids' media and games and wanted to make their own franchise? no

someone who has a tantrum in public? yes
there was a guy watching porno in a café I was in earlier this year and he freaked out and started ranting about his First Amendment rights when confronted by managers (he got the banhammer)
when I was in community college a middle age woman yelled at the professor because her email wasn't working - because an anatomy professor is tech support, right (she got kicked out of the class)

constantly trolled and humiliated online? no

do you mean people who act like man- or woman-children? maybe, but a lot of them can function a bit in day to day life, so it's hard to tell by first impressions

 

I interpret is as someone who is almost like that lolcow.

Extreme ego, autism - and of course lack of intelligence.

autism can be from mild to debilitating, it mostly has to do with a lack of social and communication skills (CWC had trouble relating to people and had a weird way of communicating)
IDK if Chris lacks intelligence or not, he was mainstreamed through high school and did reasonably well in his classes, but he has a very strange personality, is very lazy, and has disabilities that distort his perception of reality - he is very gullible and relates to people in strange ways (troll, fan, gal pal, sweetheart, family, etc.)

personally, when I hear CWC-like, I think man-child - someone who has childish interests and can't take care of themselves by choice (and yes, I'm aware some disabled people can't take care of themselves through no fault of their own and that otherwise functional adults enjoy kids' stuff)

 

The "man in the pickle suit" said Chris is really, really dumb.

There's also multiple examples of "honor roll" used sarcastically on the CWCki.

 

in most high schools in the USA it's not that hard to earn decent grades, so Chris may have had honor roll (maybe Chris thought if he got it once he always had it)
I don't think Chris is intellectually disabled (I guess his IQ is high 80s or low 90s)
he's dumb in conventional ways - he doesn't read, he doesn't try to educate himself, he thinks he knows everything, he doesn't know how to function as an adult, he's very gullible and doesn't understand social norms - some of them have to do with stupidity, some of them are just due to laziness, autism, and refusing to grow as a person

 

Someone who believes in Santa into the 20s and keeps falling for trolling schemes is likely not very bright.

Anyway I have seen significantly autistic people IRL, but compared to "Chris Chan", they were fairly normal.

 

I think he was being facetious and desperate when he said he asked Santa for a girlfriend (and even Santa played kick the autistic)
the trolling schemes are most likely due to selective listening and wishful thinking

Anyway, even if he's not intellectually disabled, he's most likely not as smart as the average person.

If you mean in a purely 'this person has autism' sense- sure.

If you mean 'like Chris' then no I haven't. I don't think anyone has tbh. He's more mythical creature than human.

I went to elementary school with an autistic kid who was kinda Chris-adjacent. He behaved inappropriately towards girls, had obsessive interests, was coddled by his parents, and got "trolled" (read: put in his place for being a little shit) by classmates and teachers alike.

Unlike Chris however, he eventually got professional help that actually got him to turn his life around. Sure, he's stuck living in a group home, and will probably forever work as a grocery bagger... but hey, he never fucked his mom, so I think he wins here.

 

Real talk, there are some times where I'm a little CWCish. If I could get on disability and play vidya all day, I'd totally do it. Every job I work, I kind of throw a fit if there is a slight deviation from plans or expectations. I also kind of obsess over certain pop culture things.

Deep down, I think there's a little bit of Chris in all of us, well... minus the urge to "heal" those related to us.
