    Unpopular opinion: I am not a big fan of discworld. I don't find the humor remotely funny. Like, everyone who told me I should read Discworld said it was hilarious so I was expecting to be pants-pissingly funny, but when I read it, it just didn't really do anything for me.

    Oh yeah, and I also even went in the recommended order and I still don't find it funny

    Okay but there's more to it than haha funny book. I don't get too many laugh out loud moments from Discworld either, but god damn those characters and themes tho.

    I absolutely love Discworld and have been buying the nice hardback editions they have released for the whole set. Now, while I have had a few moments where the books had me cackling, I'm inclined to agree with Cyan. They aren't ha ha funny, but they are very clever with a lot of deep themes.

    Well alrighty then, I just thought posting another thread after the "What are you Reading?" thread to be too excessive, especially if there was already a thread for Discworld. I know I have bizarre reasoning

    I like the Discworld explanation for "magic": it's "lack of reality" (IIRC).
