"What emerges from the best of this fascinating book is that the need for love is deeper than the quest for knowledge. Jesus must don a space suit, Cleopatra become a computer."

    - "CYRIL CONNOLLY in The Sunday Times"

    wat

(It's on the back cover of "SF THE BEST OF THE BEST PART TWO", a book edited by Judith Merril, from 1970.)

Don't know if it counts as a book, but I've been reading The Far Side by Gary Larson lately. Sometimes it can get pretty morbid.

So I read Bear, by Marian Engel.

Yes, the one about the lady fucking the bear.

    It was good.

    Uncomfortably, disquietingly good.

I like reading books by Swedenborg (1688-1772).

    Interesting view on the afterlife.

There was a book I read a few times in middle school called the Gammage Cup where these hobbit-like people lived in a town that tried to be all uniform and perfect like a fantasy HOA. They got mad at this one woman for painting the door on her house in bright colors. Then there was a door painting revolution where other people started painting their doors bright colors and it pissed the mayor off.

More stuff than that happened but I like the part where the woman had a colorful door that pissed off the mayor.

That scene looks like something out of a satire like the old Simpsons or The Far Side.

I'd argue that @Cyan is in that picture. (Cyan sweater, aggressively purple shoes.)

But on topic: I'm reading the official version of Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku and I adore it.
