    While spending money you do not have on something like the necklace, this is still a (man)child giving a gift to his mother.

    For what ever reasons, chris did do something nice for his mom.

    It also looks better than a mother of the year award.

    Chris has some decency as a person. A lot of the bad shit he does I think is more out of being stupid, not evil.

    Chris does have his moments when he shows he isn't some evil man, like buying Barb the necklace and giving his wii away to his church.

    Chris is Dumb and selfish and its a gross combination, I think a lot of people project their own malice and dislike of Chris onto him and it colours their view of him.

    I honestly believe that necklace will be pawned again in about 6 months, leaving Chris is a hellish cycle of Barb selling a necklace, playing the victim to Chris to get him to get more money, Chris making money and replacing the necklace right away because he thinks Barb is actually heartbroken over it, only to have Barb sell it again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

    Early in the Chris Chan legend, it was pretty obvious that Barb wasn't a good person. However, this Financhu Crisis paints a solid picture as to why Cole is so bitter towards her.

    It'd be pretty funny if the necklace Chris got for his mom was the same exact necklace she pawned, from the same exact store, bought at a much higher price. I know it is not, but yeah, I guess it would be kind of funny.

    It doesn't matter who loses, the pawn shop always wins!
