The guy who bought the $500 binder from Chris posted to KF.

His plan is to resell the cards for profit, based on watching the video of Chris flipping through the binder pages. Kicker is he hasn't gotten the damn binder yet, so he still doesn't know what the actual conditions of the cards are. But he said he's bought lots like that for similar prices and his ebay seems to be doing well, so IDK, maybe he can pull it off. The tricky thing is Chris's perception of quality and how roughly he handles stuff (like digging his fingers into the pockets of the binder pages to turn a page). Also the possibility the cards might smell.

 

Everybody has a get rich scheme. Seems chris is the kick ofc point for some people.

This is absurd.

 

The way I see it, he might earn a profit of $50-$100 (I'm just guessing here), but how long will he sit on the cards for while he waits for buyers, and how much effort is he going to put into selling these things? Money isn't everything, and I'm curious as to whether it would be worth it in the end.

That said, I think he might have wanted to advertise the cards as being from Chris, which is why he sent up the thread, to authenticate the cards (and perhaps attract some bidders) when places them for sale. Kinda backfired though with YS locking the thread.
