As I have a cat on my chest now purring and safe all I can say is that chris can't take care of himself, barb or any animals.

I'm going to give Chris his credit this one time.
Chris loves animals. He loved Patti more than any human in his life and loves his cats dearly. It's a very common trait in autism to find better company in animals then people and it shows in Chris. For all his faults, he'd never willingly hurt an animal, let alone his own pet.
He's neglectful and lazy (as shown by the clotted eyes and bloody nose) but not a monster.
He is fat and gay though

Aww man, I feel for Chris here. Hope Sorbet pulls through and Chris keeps him in the house from now on.

I'm glad that sweet little kitty is okay and safe. Praise the almighty cat god Garmfield. :floof:

  6. It depends. He doesn't love the beagles, for example, but that's probably because they require more involved care and attention than the cats. Chris didn't shoulder the responsibility of taking care of Patti because he was still a child at the time so he was free to love her/be loved without any additional "stress" that comes with pet ownership.

Could also be that the dogs are Barb's pets so he doesn't see them in the same light.
    Cats ftw!

  8. One is supposed to be "his" and the other is Barb's. I can't remember which is which, though. Still, Chris is the one tasked with the responsibility of taking care of them, no doubt one of the main reasons why they're half-feral and not house trained. He can't even take care of himself let alone two other creatures.

I am skeptical of chris deliberately allowing sorbet to be hurt, but even though cats aren't my favorite animal, I find anyone who harms them intentionally or unintentionally (mainly neglect which chris is guilty of) to be worthy of a proportionate amount of pain
