Misspells "Greene County" in the very first line of his post.

No need to forgive them Chris, they don't want to be friends with you anyway.

Chris has Rose tinted nostalgia glasses for high school clearly. I guess he forgot about how much losing the art show hurt.

Yeah, between losing the art show, having pennies thrown at him, and being told that "Sonic is dead!" all the time, you'd think Chris would have hated high school like most people. But he doesn't for some strange reason and even after all this, still generally views that era of his life as something to look back on fondly.

    It baffles me, really.

He has a skewed perception of this time period. It's the only time in his life where he had gal pals who interacted with him be it pity or by Bob paying them off to interact with his son, so women+attention=best time in Chris' pathetic life. That's probably the only good aspects he remembers of that time and even then it was a sham.

A part of it is he's incredibly lonely I'm sure the other as mentioned is most interaction he's had with females in his life, more so when he was in the peak of puberty. During puberty even no hypersexual pervs, sitting next to a cute girl is around what an adult would consider 2nd base.

While Chris has a skill set of holding grudges, he chooses to ignore the down sides of HS (at least publicly) to enjoy the happy memories and in ways I think give an image he's not always been suffering as well as he's always been an outcast.

I'm sure Chris just saw the hash tag and ran with it, not knowing what it's related to, to me there is great humor in a proud product of public school, didn't see his chance to take a swipe at permft since it's related to his choice for DOE.

Chris has trouble processing things like sarcasm and can't grasp an insult more nuanced than calling his phone and yelling JULAY. He didn't make the connection between the other boys laughing at him as he scrambled to take the pennies and "Look at him, he's so poor he's taking the pennies!". He didnt get the joke and just took the free pocket change.

What he really hated was having to leave high school. In a short period of time, he was removed from his comfort zone, severed from his support network, and to top it all off he didn't win the art contest despite having cast himself as "Autistic boy who blows everyone away with his hidden talent". He likes high school so much because it's the last remotely happy stretch of time in his life before he felt his life going downhill.

It's sad that Chris's high school experience was the most normal part of his life - and he spent it reading Goosebumps, ranting about Sonic and Pokemon, and inventing Sonichu.

Nostalgia does that to people, but Chris and his autism probably forgot most of the "bad things" entirely.

He has stated that he was never "bullied", except for people ragging on Sonic. Even the money thrown was a good thing because Chris thinks he got free money.

Women teachers that would cater to his demands whenever he wanted, able to sleep through classes, do barely any work on homework, pizza parties, galpals, managing a sportball team, Pokemon, never had to adult at all, these are all things our manchild holds dear to his heart.

It is true that those were the best days of his life. I'm sure he views the LGBT community he's trying to suck up to like those days, where he could just show up and acquire friends.

Yes Chris, if it weren't for those schools, you would not be here as an unemployed, tranny-lady-manbaby, autistic disaster of a person.

I do wonder about Chris' perception of time, does high school seem like a long time ago to him?

I hated high school and am glad to remember nothing about it, I would consider it a curse to be so nostalgic about something that happened over 17 years ago. 17 years!!!

I think it's a combination of Chris's selective memory and willingness to retreat into his memories when he feels bad. He only really has good memories of high school and he reinforces those memories when shit happens in his life that bad or disheartening to him. It's like a realistic version of Cwcville where he was somebody with friends and social interactions that required almost no effort on his part.
As an aside I wonder how many of his gal-pals actually initiated conversation that led to their relationships with Chris. If Chris somehow had the balls to initiate their relationship to start with, that would surprise me to say the least. Or did Chris feel more comfortable talking to people he saw nearly everyday and was able to socialize better because of that?

"Without my education I wouldn't be where I am today."
Poor Chris, he really shouldn't have been mainstreamed.

Ohhhhhh, I had never even thought about that, what a great question! We know that Bob and the principal were responsible for the gal-pals babysitting Chris, but did they know him before they were asked to look after him?

Yeah I kinda just realized that we really don't know much about Chris in his early years and how and whom interacted with. Chris may have been introverted by at least comfortable enough to talk with people on a regular basis. It seems like Chris was OK at socializing throughout high school.I really think he regressed after high school when people he was familiar with weren't around everyday and didn't have to be nice to him because the had to see him again the next day or because someone paid them to be nice.
