Shows so bad they didn't make it past the first episode.

Here we come with a battlecry!

    EDIT: I've been ninjad!

The station's owner's wife saw it on and complained about it while it was going on and had him have them take it off. Were it not for that, the one episode probably would've finished and flopped
    like a kangaroo dick.

With the "Riverdale" series underway on CW, let's take a look at another attempt to adapt our teenage comic book pals to the small screen.

Oh, and one more, please mind the terrible crappiness of this video, it's all there is, and for a good reason!

I am a huge fan of the Argentinian comic Cybersix. The animated series they made in in 1999 is beautiful and the animation was amazing for it's time. But there was actually a live action version that aired in 1995 in Argentina that looks like it was made on a budget of $50 and was cancelled almost immediately. It is all kinds of terrible but is enjoyable on a cheesy level. Awhile ago someone actually posted the first episode on youtube and I managed to save it (I may have to do an in depth review at some point), but none of the other episodes that supposedly exist can be found.

Here's a commercial for it. You'll notice that American copyright isn't really a thing over in Argentina and while "More Human Than Human" is an appropriate song for Cybersix, there's no way that was intentional.

    Also, because I can:

Don't really know about the obscure cancelled shows (not really a TV junkie), but I remember an animated sitcom called Allen Gregory which was based off the standup routines of Jonah Hill. It had to be one of the worst shows I've ever watched. The jokes were so crude and disgusting, obviously trying to be an "edgier" show than Family Guy or South Park. There was this one episode where the main character, an 8-year-old asshole or something, was trying to get in this 65-year-old principal's pants and it was so cringy.

L!VE TV and all its works.

Devised by Kelvin MacKenzie (infamous Sun editor who was responsible for that paper's most outrageous and frankly wrong headlines, including "Gotcha," "Freddie Starr ate my hamster," "Straight Sex Cannot Give You AIDS," and "The Truth") and Janet Street Porter in all her consonant-mangling glory, owned by Trinity Mirror group, this channel was so crapulent its entire portfolio was sold on eBay for £14,500 in the mid 2000s.

And what a channel it was. From "Topless Darts," to "The Weather in Norwegian," to a three-hour live block where people could send in their wedding videos and which only one viewer sent theirs in in the first month, L!VE TV wasn't even the lowest common denominator.

I used to have an idea whereupon I'd run a satellite channel called "Shite" which was basically wall to wall crap - i.e. deliberately showing bad programmes ancient and modern and awful films and similar. Then I realised it had already been done.

I watched the pilot. It was terrible. Flat jokes everywhere and an asshole main character without the charm to make it work.

Comedy Central ordered a pilot based on the Twitter character Dadboner. It wasn't much, unsurprisingly, but Jane Lynch and Guy Fieri both did a bit of voice work for it.

Ugh, you guys have got to stop remaking British and Australian tv shows, they all turn out to be shit. That American adaptation of The Inbetweeners, man I wish that had been cancelled after one episode.

I hope with "you guys" you're not referring to me - I'm a limey. But yeah, I agree with you - lay off our shows America. You don't see us trying to remake Cheers or Seinfeld.

And my God the American adaptation of The Inbetweeners. I know this is cheating since this monstrosity (unbelievably) made it past the first episode, but this... thing is a special kind of awful.

This was made by MTV. It almost makes Decoded tolerable by comparison. Almost but not quite.

Right, sorry. Correction, Americans need to stop remaking British and Australian shows, they all turn out to be shit.

(Especially the American Inbetweeners, the casting choices were awful. Their Will and Simon were two of the most generic looking motherfuckers I've ever seen and what the hell was up with their Mr. Gilbert? He's supposed to be intimidating, instead they hired a Sasquatch)

It's not just that they're generic - they're too good looking to be Inbetweeners. Will and Simon in the real Inbetweeners looked like average guys. In the fake one they look like they've just walked out of the Abercrombie and Fitch catalogue.

Well, you're right about American Will, but I think Joe Thomas looks much better than American Simon's actor.
