    Though speaking of exploitation, Magic School Bus movie. Done in cg, with none of the education or charm inherent in that series for children.

    Art 'Maus' Speigelman was behind the creation of the cards, I had zero idea that was the case before a late night internet deep dive with too much time on my hands revealed to me that fact recently. Also, that movie was so bad my grandmother flat out refused to take me to see it again, she pawned me off on her teenage neighbor from a house up the street and met me outside the theater after killing the running time in the mall the second admission I went to see it, a rarity because my grandmother was awesome about stuff like that usually, but the GP Kids broke her, they were that offensive/putrid of a cinematic product. It even became something of a running joke for a while between us afterwards, she'd only agree to take me to movies if I promised they weren't as bad as that one was beforehand.

    80's nostalgia is a bit off now, but 90s is currently in. It's why I also expect remake movies for most of Cartoon Network's line-ups... along with of board games like Mouse Trap and Don't Wake Daddy. Because even commercials and things like that are not safe from these lot.

    In a shocking twist, "Don't Wake Daddy- the movie" will be a very dark film when you realize the children aren't sneaking out of their bed to get a snack, they're trying to get away from their father, who rapes them every night, and they need to try to get out of the house without waking him.

    In all seriousness, I am dreading whatever piece of tripe an executive comes up with to try to sell toys. That's what pretty much all of these things are. An attempt to sell a product, usually toys. I'm guessing a Hatchimals movie is being planned.
