Armchair psychology: CWC

What exactly is wrong with Chris? This is a very interesting topic for me and undoubtedly many others. I want to hear your opinion.
I apologize if this topic already exists.
I personally think a part of his mental problems is that he, mentally, is still a child/ young teenager but stuck in a hormone-driven body of an adult, with all the fuck-ups that must come with a horny child.

 

Chris's autism coupled with his horrible parents resulted in him having no comprehension of anything outside of his own mind. Simple.

 

Yes he's a manchild. That's been obvious since the moment he first posted Sonichu online. But what's important is WHY he's a manchild, and the answer is: his parents. Bob and Barb Chandler coddled and spoiled Chris every step of the way through his childhood. Chris was their special little snowflake and got handed everything he ever wanted, which made him actually believe that he should get anything he wanted. This of course brought on a lot of trouble in his time at school, but instead of making any effort to get Chris the help he so obviously needed, Bob and Barb did everything in their power to SHIELD him from any help he might have gotten, as well as from any repercussions or consequences to his actions.

It was all this that created Classic Chris, the deluded little manchild who "created" Sonichu and Rosechu and believed he'd found an easy way to fame, women, and fortune. However, his own actions since then have created the broken, gender confused, still entitled, fat, gollum like thing he/she is today.

 

You guys don't think he's suffering from additional shit?

 

I think he might because of his issues with reality. He does have psychosis, but psychosis is a symptom and I don't think autism by itself can cause psychosis like what Chris has. The unclit 2.0 is my reason he has psychosis because of his reasoning for cutting himself open. I am not that knowledgeable on psychology, but I do look up tidbits

 

I seem to recall a theory that went around on Kiwi Farms that Chris probably has a lot of psychological damage as well in recent years due to the fact that, for a brief time, literally everything he knew was a lie:

Trolls messing with him, gal pals weren't really his friends after all, etc.

 

Personally, I think that he might have been misdiagnosed as having autism when he actually has bi-polar disorder, then he was given the wrong treatment for his entire life and was sheltered by his parents so he never really had to mature. Then the early days of the internet had an effect on his mental state and the rest is history.

It's quite possible. There is documented footage of his anger and threats and what not.

 

Thats along my lines of thinking. I think it may not even be so much an imbalance though as it is all behavioral disorder and social retardation. His parents set him up for failure because whenever he did something weird they just said "oh well you're autistic so it's ok." When all his crap on the internet started good parents would've shut that shit down. Autistic or not you don't act that way on the internet or carry around "attraction signs" at a college and not expect a negative reaction. But instead they said our son is acting like an asshole because he was born with autism and people are picking on him because of it.

 

This, exactly. If Borb had had any sense back then, once they discovered all of the nonsense going on with Chris and the Internet (including the many "females" pretending to want Chris, only to be swerving him), they would have swooped in and been all "You are NOT getting Internet access until you're off the radar with these people and you smarten the fuck up!"

 

The problem is that neither of them seemed to get the internet.

Bob thought that it was possible for Chris to erase all of the house tour videos because "you loaded it up there, you unload'em". Barb just seems to see it as "everyone you IM is working for Chris Hansen" and more recently "Suckers live there, I can use it to swindle them"

 

Well, considering that they were both approaching "GET OFF OF MY LAWN!" status when they had Chris, it's not shocking they couldn't figure out that dang gum Internets!

I mean, yeah, Chris is a fucking dumpster fire, but I've seen guys (and girls too) in worse shape then he is have significant others.

 

True but then again he's fashioned himself as a "lesbian transwoman", which in and of itself is a crock of shit but he's pretty much eliminated all chances of a significant other. He may have found a female who is also fat, obnoxious and autistic who would put up with his crap. Now he has to find a lesbian who would be with a balding, obese, creepy, social retard...with a dick. Im not an expert on lesbians but I think they enjoy having sex with other lesbians.

Part of the reason they were so bent on mainstreaming Chris is that they had an antiquated attitude towards mental health in a time wherein autism spectrum disorders weren't widely discussed or known about.

The thought of enrolling Chris in "special classes" may have felt like admitting to themselves they had failed somehow as parents, as well as possibly opening him up to "inhumane treatment" from mental health professionals by potentially being institutionalized. Mental health as a profession has gone through a lot of change in terms of how they treat their subjects, but attitudes and reputation sometimes get frozen in time for those outside looking in.

I think when Bob talks about what could happen if health officials see the state of their house speaks volumes. He didn't seem as bothered by the very fact that his house was worthy of being condemned as much as the process of condemnation itself. To him, intervention from an outside entity entailed far worse consequences than any good that could come of it. It would be embarrassment and having to accept an unflattering reality.

They thought ignoring the problem and hoping he would "snap out of it" would be his only chance at a normal life. This is the one aspect of parental neglect on their part that I feel may have been at least tinged with good intentions but, as we can all plainly see now through hindsight, was the gravest error they may have made.

P.S. I apologise for the serious tone of this post. I will go back to dick jokes and ejaculatory vulgarity post haste.

 

You're right. Chris's grasp on reality does seem to be hanging by the thinnest of threads. it was never a hard grip to begin with, but the more reality hedges in on his crumbling facade the more he fights back by burrowing deeper and deeper into delusion.

What's amazed me has been Barb accepting chris's behavior after she threatened him to cut his hair when the tomgirl saga started. She now seems to accept, or at the very least tolerate his tranny status. However I believe this is because Barb's given up. She knows chris is now too 'special' to change and just wanted to keep him around to nanny her until she croaks. Because chris is all she has at this point; the family doesn't like her, and the one man she loved (and kept her hoard secret) is gone. She'll either be alone with the hoard, or with her creepy failure of a son.

 

It does seem like Barb has now conceded that she rolled a gutter ball when it came to her son, so she's just making the best of a dumpster fire of a situation.
