Scott seems to not realize that Star Wars is a far more popular franchise than Sam & Max, and that point and click adventure games were very much dead by the time he made this comic, so of course LucasArts would have higher priority on Star Wars over Sam and Max. It's almost as if the entire gaming industry is a business where companies have to make decisions that prioritizes profit over what hardcore basement dwelling gamer losers want just so they can stay afloat.

(FYI, The 100th comic probably doesn't exist anymore, due to flash no longer being compatible with anything and Scott not giving enough of a shit to properly archive it. I will tell, it's a generic "100 comic party" animation that also features Scott insulting his fan base for wanting updates on the comic. No, really.)

I'm willing to bet the only people that read this without being 13 year olds that liked crappy webcomics were furries that just wanted to draw degenerate art of the two cats.

 

Hell, I don't even really enjoy this. And this is coming from somebody that likes both Sabrina Online and Helluva Boss. No, really. That alone should tell you the quality of VG Cats when even a furry cringelord like me doesn't enjoy it.

 

Okay, time to be more specific since that narrows it down further: shit tier furries with shit tier taste among cringe ass furries are likely the only fans.

 

So in other words, fans of this horrible film series

 

Alpha & Omega must have some sort of cult fan base who keep the films successful enough for there to be seven direct to video sequels, that or they're leftovers from a failed television series. It does kind make for good short story fodder, a hack studio makes a shitty film series because of their dedicated fan base only to realize at the end everyone who liked the film had a brain tumor that made them think they were watching a good movie.

Beating up and pissing on a generic heart that's supposed to be one of the recovery items from Zelda while making it sentient, and then trying to justify having a character beat up a generic stock health icon (which he actually had to say was from Zelda because it's just a fucking cartoon heart) with "OMG GAME MECHANIC MEAN!"? This might be the absolute low point for this comic (at least in regards to satire. The rants and gross out "humor" are definitely going to get worse.

Just a reminder that Square-Enix actually commissioned Scott to make an entire series of "LOL MMOS SUCK" comics all about their own MMO. And I hate to repeat myself, but was it really worth it, Square?

Guys, what if instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken, it was instead Kentucky Fried Chocobo? Eh? Eh?! Hey, where are you guys going!!?

Oh hey, Godwin's law. I thought the comic was missing something from my "unfunny hack parody" checklist.

Oh great, making sentient consoles talking about the console wars (the the console makers themselves don't give a rat's ass about, considering Minecraft being multiplatform and Banjo-Kazooie being added into Smash Bros despite Microsoft (the actual owners of B-K, being a current competitor of Nintendo). Time to check off another mark on that list!

Why do I get the feeling that the first half of this strip was just a moment in City of Heroes where Scott was being a douche to newer players, and he made this in an attempt to paint other players as the douches?

 

That Calvin & Hobbes parody is kind of disturbing.

What if racism but gameboy?

I noticed that Scott has more or less given up on backgrounds, pop a screenshot into Photoshop and apply a filter, the tingle one was easily the worst I've seen so far. What's more is this last one he's fully embraced the drag and drop expressions of CAD, just draw the body once and slap on some eyes and a mouth, that's how the pros do it!

 

There's a reason gag comics are always 4 panels at most, and good jokes are usually not too long.

Called it. Knew he was going to make a "people eat mushrooms to get high" "joke". Granted, it's not "MARIO GETS HIGH OFF OF MUSHROOMS LOL", but that really just means that the lame anti-joke is only slightly more original. It's still just as unfunny.

For some weird reason, this particular one is so fucking unfunny that I'm just trying to actually find the joke. Not helped by the fact that I don't even know WTF the game Scott's "spoofing" (massive quotation marks there) even is.
