If a lawyer can pull of defending OJS, they can pull off defending CWC.

Honestly, prosecutors are worse. Where a shady defense attorney may let guilty people walk, prosecutors constantly lock up innocent people without batting an eye. They don't care if you're actually guilty, they don't care about the scale of punishment versus the actual severity of the crime. They just want one more feather in their hat for when they try to go for D.A. or Attorney General.

 

So we’re not going to know ANYTHING until a verdict is reached? Is this just for the grand jury or for the trial jury as well?

I've said it before, at this rate the merge probably will happen before Chris gets sentenced.

But real talk, I feel that they are taking their time for a couple of reasons:

1. Heilberg needs all the time he can get to turn this bucket of piss into anything resembling lemonade.
2. Everyone involved in this trial knows they're gonna be under a microscope because of retards like us, and for reasons that neither the jury nor the judge understand.

Imagine being a judge in America. You have a long day of ruining the lives of young black people for going into the only industries with economic growth in their neighborhoods sucking billionaire dick in union disputes upholding justice in your court, and you see Chris's case show up. You can either make this a bench case, where you're picking on a cyberbullying victim if you declare him guilty or letting an obvious rapist go free if you don't. If you don't make this a bench case, you are going to ask this 20-year tale of action, adventure, china, and trolls to fall on the ears of 12 people who weren't even smart enough to figure out a way to get out of jury duty.

Well, thanks to the trash talk and pestering by the unholy quintet, we may not hear any more about the case for some time, longer if Chris does get the lifetime anonymity order that I could not rule out last year.

The sealing of the case is quite similar to the Mary Bell scenario, perhaps the first step: it indicates that the internet drama is testing the patience of both prosecution and defence. This reminds me of how the Huddersfield grooming trial almost collapsed because of an obnoxious political activist, and the danger of the this case collapsing for a similar reason, except with the unholy quintet.

 

Will weens ever see that they cannot be "the next Clyde Cash"?

How would that work? Chris is an autist who has extremely loose lips and an ego. I doubt he is capable of staying anonymous.
